I'd like to see a turbine get some useful output, through a worm gear or a single belt reduction to an electric generator for a measured power output.
They are supposed to be 90% efficient but If you cant get anything useful out they are pointless.

Ok, you've spawned an idea on my mind ; I've been trying to figure out a way to tests inverters (on-grid one's). The most easiest way I though of was the solar panels, but the problem with solar panels is that you need to install them as well($$$). However, using a boiler, a 3d Printed steam-engine and mirrors, we could redirect all the sunlight to the boilers (need a black material) and use the exiting steam to power the engine.

Hell, I'm wondering is a small tank of water next to a light absorbing element would be sufficient...

Video idea - build a rocket engine prototype useing your pumps/steam turbines and for the main combustion chamber and you should make a mold out of PLA and use sand and make a mold to take high temperatures then melt the metal down put the metal in the mold and should be stronger then you other jet engines.

Silver impregnated resin isn't the way to go. The resin will cover a lot of the silver giving very little reaction. Rather a silver wire or mesh suspended across the chamber would be better.

Create a rocketplane using the reaction that you created at the end of this video, drop the rocket plane from a electrically powered ducted fan remote controlled plane, then achieve a super sonic speed and\or fly to the stratosphere then glide down and recover the craft. (You could also do a video where you drop tomatoes to their death from a rc plane) ps the 2nd one is a bit easier I will assist you in the 3D modeling stage.

Nice video. I would say though that we didn’t really have high pressure steam engines until the 19th century. Before then, they were really only using atmospheric steam in things called atmospheric engines.

use a fishing hang scale to measure the force exerted by your rocket motor

Switching out the steel wool for silver wool could also do the trick - it just might be hard-ish (and expensive) to find some silver wool (Carl Roth sells 10g for almost 100 EUR)
