I just saw this informative video. Thanks buddy. I have been listening to them since I don't remember when. The song that would give me goosebumps is Time to pretend. It's like a flashback of memories and emotions sometimes you try to remember but you can't because life and destiny happens. I just subscribed buddy and thanks again for making this mini documentary. ❤😊

Even if they don't take themselves that seriously, they give more of a fuck about making good music and art than going viral and making their record label money. They have a solid fanbase who get them and allow them to be as experimental as they want which allows them to keep making enough of a living off their art. Most bands would kill for that. How many hits does one really need to feel validated? I've never understood why commercial pop stars and rappers who have already made it are so obsessed with being the most popular, the richest and getting to no.1 on the charts. Have they squandered all their money?

There’s nothing wrong with writing songs that everyone wants to listening to. Imo it takes just as much talent if not more to write a tight 3 min pop song with depth as it does to write overindulgent, avant-garde, mini symphonies. And they were more than capable of both. It’s just the former was what the recorded co. wanted and through that push and pull they developed this antiauthoritarianism resulting in anti pop

this gotta be the worst timing, since their album "Little Dark Age" released just three days after this video was posted

I love their music, including their first album, it was obvious a poke at pop music, if you read the lyrics, it was quite tongue in cheek, sounded great & was also alternative anti-pop IMHO.

I honestly think that Siberian Breaks off of Congratulations is a downright masterpiece and it's a freaking shame that it doesn't get the love it deserves. It's such a masterful composition.

Alien Days dropped at a pivotal point in my life and I still hold it very close to my heart.

This is music made for feeling, thinking, emotional individuals, and I'd rather it be kept for those people than slaughtered on the radio.
