Im no expert my step bro ownes a grading co.he has been wking all types of heavy equipment his whole life. Im more an operator. Used several types of equipment .i got a small back hoe rt end loader. Lots of fun savedmyself $$ lots of digging renovating 2 acer yard with house .. used a veriaty of Lulls. Sky Trex .genies gjl. 110ft boom lyft. And it seems to me the #1 mistake made is not paying attention to ur surroundings.. so please if u operate heavy or even smaller equipment . Always keep ur head on a 360* swiel especially 200* in the direction ur traveling.. never take anything for granted.

Thank you! The first video I watched left me with the ability to open the windows and wonder about the glow plug position. Not much on operation. Yours is far superior. I feel trained enough to get in an open field and develop some muscle memory. The boss has me position the new excavator, but saw I was not as proficient as he. You video gave me the overview I needed! Hit the nail on the head! I can figure out the AC later, after the paycheck is cashed!

How does a mini excavator compare with a tractor loader backhoe. It would seem that a front end end loader could backfill the trench faster than that pathetic little blade. Also does a TLB dig deeper?

If that thumb had a progressive linkage, it could follow the bucket all the way. Thumb cylinder is always weaker than bucket so you can curl against it. Does someone import that thumb into EU?

Once you change your pins and bushings first time, you learn not to put dirt into them, like you did with second scoop. Your lessons are in the maintence hall, there you learn to dig. 😊

If you're an experienced operator you should leave the door and front window open if someone is yelling at you that you're getting ready to hit something you want to hear them and always don't idle it up until it's ready you don't get in your car and hit the gas pedal do you this guy is un experienced

So after watching this video I was able to use a rental excavator much more efficiently I put in a seeping pit and drainage pipe on my property.
Although I have to admit one facepalm moment. When the machine was delivered they had the cab turned 180 so the blade was behind the seat. I'm guessing for stability in transport? So anyway, my stupid butt operated it for about an hour on the assumption that this was just some weird model that had the blade in the back. Even made mental note of how weird it was that the forward/reverse was opposite the direction of travel. . . Then finally spun around and it sunk in. Had a good laugh at myself. But still finished the job, so I guess alls well that ends well!
