If a latency advantage does not translate into any significant end-to-end effect, why worry about it? Are you saying that your end-to-end measurements have too much variance or not enough resolution? Have you considered NVDIA Reflex? It would not require soldering. BTW, if Finalmouse can catch events outside the polling raster (e.g., via interrupts), why are they even using polling at all? Why not deliver the events as they occur, perhaps with a customisable frequency limiter?

Meh, I really like the shape of my superlight 2, it simply fits my hand better than anything I’ve ever tried before and I’m saying this as a massive Razer fan.

What size of the ULX did you use?

There is not a big deal with an app running in the background to control your mouse settings. Todays gaming computers have a non issue running background apps so it isn't a big deal to me

Logitech has an onboard memory chip, you can edit the settings in the app and not care for them ever again, if you want to you can even uninstall the app.

At what point would the XLAT results be more useful than the others? Surely it's more useful to know the end to end latency because that's when the action is completed?

I get that occasionally the PC will delay it but so long as the testing is consistent then that's more useful.

Finding out when the mouse finishes sending its data is only useful if they're somehow less efficient when it gets to your specific PC.

I feel like they're optimising for the wrong thing here...

The biggest con for finalmouse is the time it takes for them to ship you the mouse..
If they can improve on that that would greatly increase their reputation even more.

I wish he would talk about why the Zaunkoenig M2K has, by far, the lowest click latency, which would be because their switches are using latch debouncing, something I wish more reviewers would talk about.

Also, Finalmouse was not the first to implement a web interface for their mouse management software. Atompalm was.

the web ui software seems amazing, i fucking hate having to have 20 different softwares running in the background for all different peripherals
