Folks continue to be confused about this vehicle. Keep it simple: IT'S NOT A TRUCK. Think of it as a "Ute". It's a 4-door El Camino with AWD, for the unimaginative out there. When you stop trying to make it a Dodge Ram in your mind, it's easier to classify it. It's capable of a lot, but it's not meant to be a direct body-on-frame truck clone. It's just a very capable Ute.

This is the truck that 99% of truck owners need. A bed has its uses even though this is just an SUV with a bed - and there's nothing wrong with that. This could also be a good compromise in a relationship where one wants an SUV and the other wants a truck. why not both in one?

I feel by Commons don't make any difference but mark likes to make everything negative about. He says everything negative about cars hard for not perfect unfortunately, but mark always looks for something that's negative and again. My penny doesn't matter how keep doing what you're doing saying native things about cars. How is it these doing net picking? Unfortunately, the video I'm looking at. I do like Honda Redlands. He makes fun of things like oh, the plastic plastic plastic. There's part of plastic that is essential in some parts. They're in an essential part, but unfortunately. Yes, it is a appearance package on a Honda Ridgeline. But still they make good products on the webut. I just tend to see what I see if I'm in. Judgmental mark has always seen some negative. I don't see that too many things he's always. You know yes, the video he is saying could be better. But everything is not perfect. Though depends, if I wanted a billion dollar car. I would buy it. Not even a billion dollar cars are not perfect because of how much you pay for it. Even for hours are not perfect. There's always something from the factory that could be better without making any. The biggest stuff but I'm gonna get my penny doesn't matter but keep making good videos. I like the way they make them, they just could be better the way they're saying things analizing 2 point has to change because he's gotta look at himself. He was all around driving this piece of junk. Don't be a person that does this. You have to learn from all your stuff that you've been around. Test driving cars being more open minded

I had a 19 Sport as a company car (cheap to me). I absolutely want to admit... prior to having one I was unimpressed and never would have considered one. But after 3yrs and 50k miles it was about the best vehicle I've ever had. We miss it so much that we just ordered a 23 RTL-E as our next family vehicle.
That 19 Sport got 31.7mpg on 1000+ mile road trips, was flawless in the snow, had cold AC, the trunk was awesome (used daily), and in general it was just excellent to live with.
The cons....
It didn't look like a traditional truck.
I wish it had some 31" BFG's on it just for looks.. (even though it was ok as-is)
I had a sport model which was a base model, so it was missing some features like power seats, tilt down mirrors, heated mirrors, ect...
The cloth seats got dirty and had to be cleaned several times a yr
We had zero problems with it and I actually miss that truck.

Overall I must say I miss that truck a lot. And so does my wife. So this time I'm getting a loaded version and expect it to be a 10+ yr keeper.

"The big problem is, this doesn't have the cool factor of a truck." ....the cab has more room than a Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado and Frontier. It can tow 5,000 pounds and has a pay load of 1,600. Drives smoother than any other midsized truck and has the quality of a Honda. This truck is exactly what 90% of truck buyers actually need. If someone is willing to sacrifice that , while most likely paying more, because it's not "cool" than they are the ones with the problem, not the Ridgeline. Too many people driving big "cool" trucks just to make them selves look like a badass. Two neighbors of mine each own full size pickups yet they don't tow anything or haul anything except their kids to daycare every morning. I own an 08 Ridgeline with 190k miles. Best vehicle I have ever owned. Of course I get the comments from the neighbors "that's not a real truck" while I'm actually getting more use out of mine than they are out of theirs. Looking for something new soon and I'm going with a Ridgeline. Keep hating

I think that when the Ridgeline gets a similar redesign as the Pilot did with a Trailsport version that gets a suspension lift and a taller section height tire so you have 9 inches of ground clearance, better approach and departure angles, and a skid plate or 3 everything will be just fine .

Simply put: the Honda Ridgeline is for ADULTS who care more about efficiency and value, than marketing hype. Btw the average buyer of a Ridgeline are typically men over 40 with an above average credit score and income. Rather be associated with folks who are above average rather than average imo.

You KNow, this is a truck that has Miata syndrome.
The only owners that are afraid to own it are those that never owned it in the first place, because: A. What will their friends think. B. They want a "Real" Truck. C. They can't do any work with it.
This whole segment was about how much they like other trucks and this truck is great, but it isn't a truck...but it can do truck things. Seriously, the only real problem they had was the stickers.. which , if that's a crime then we have to hang every truck company. And Audio. I love good audio, but I can upgrade that.
Look, If you like something, including Miatas, buy it. Don't live your live for the opinion of other people. This is 90 percent truck that the public needs and it has features other trucks don't have.

I bought a '22 RTL last year and unloaded it in <1 year. It was the only midsize I initially liked... the test drives were great. The seat was comfortable and the trunk was useful but it slowly became the most irritating vehicle I ever owned. It drank gas faster than a full size V6, the 'tech' was rubbish, the expensive windshield was fragile, it had build quality issues & a laundry list of flaws that added up to one big annoyance. Aside from that, the aftermarket was expensive junk and the forum was only good if you were looking to get your *ss ripped open if you dared to criticize it by a bunch of know-nothing know-it-alls. It's a good vehicle in theory but needs lots of help in practice.

Wow....somehow I never thought the words "Truck" and "Snob" could go together...LOL. But yeah, that's what it sounds like when I hear the negative complaints on the Ridgeline. Nothing of real substance...just stuff like "Doesn't feel like a real truck" or basically "It rides too smooth to be a truck"....REALLY?...and that's a bad thing why!? LOL

The only legit negative you can really say about the Ridgeline, for it's class, is that it isn't the best for Off-Roading. All the rest is just Billy-Bob Truck Snob talk and knit-pick things you could do with any other Mid-size truck, just on slightly different points.

Irritating video that's not very honest and obviously just trying to push the buttons to give the illusion of conflicting opinions.

Hi handsome. I own a 2023 Honda Ridgeline rtle. It had 5 miles , thump thump, .
Now it has 580 miles and let me tell you whats wrong with mine.
1,the noise cabin is when driving on hwy or city is too loud should be like lexus 2,the steering wheel should be steering by wire like Lexus.
3 the suspension should be electromagnetic suspension for smoother ride
4.the glass should be double pane. 5 the tires should be 20 instead of 18.
6 the bed should be longer 6ft. 7) the engine should be hybrid like the 2023 Toyota sienna 36mpg.
Tell me what you think about my issues. Thanks

I’m one of those people who don’t give a single fuck what others think of anything I buy or do or wear. I live my life and I’m happy. I would buy this all day long, quiet cabin, rides great, has a naturally aspirated v6 with good power, and it can tow like 5000 pounds. Great for your everyday average person.

Since we've had the Ridgeline our 2nd car just sits in the garage most of the time, I've owned multiple trucks over the years majority have been full size half ton, only reason I ever needed a full size truck is when I was towing a large camper (which I don't have anymore) the Ridgeline fulfills my truck needs while also satisfying my wife's SUV/Sedan needs, we use it for absolutely everything, commute to work, mall shopping/grocery getter, home depot runs, hauling cargo trailer, transport dirt bike's, cargo rack on top equipped can be used for kayak/cargo, tailgating, hauling bicycle's the rack fits in towing receiver same as SUV, the upper level trims have the better audio system, overall saves us money we don't need to purchase an expensive SUV for a second car when the Ridgeline fulfills that need,

The biggest negative here and this goes for all Jap cars... they're really ugly. Japanese manufactures make their products to appeal to Japanese people and not westerners. Especially in a truck platform as well its a truck.. men drive trucks.. The Ridgeline looks like it's a truck for women, haha. Look at Ram trucks, look friggin awesome and despite the fact they're junk they fly off the lots, haha!' They don't get it, they never have and they never will. they don't employ the right people to design the sheet metal.

I had the original model year Ridgeline (2006) for several years and really liked it. Everything said here is right on target: steering, ride and handling are solid, incredibly versatile in terms of interior space and storage, and just a very good option for folks who don't want or need body-on-frame truck performance. The whole argument that "this ain't no truck!" really shouldn't enter into the conversation because Honda filled a niche by building a more urban-focused SUV-type vehicle with a bed. There are plenty of great trucks out there for the crowd that needs them, but I swear I see plenty of F-150s, Rams, Silverados, etc. that look like they never pulled a trailer or hauled a payload.
One thing I don't get here is the HPD package - it doesn't seem to do anything but throw a few badges, cool wheels and different paint job on a regular Ridgeline for an extra $3K.

I picked up one this year. I needed to do truck things, but nothing overly crazy. I don't go offroading in my free time, but I do go camping, multi-day hikes, mountain biking, motorcycle riding, paintballing, and regularly do housing projects. The bed size, tow rating, and interior space is pretty perfect for me. At most I'm going in some muddy fields/trails, but places people are trying to take their cars and where my Subaru is usually more than capable.

I really needed the bed so I can stop tearing up the inside of my cars with a lot of these trips to the hardware store, plus the additional space for those projects. I still find the bed more convenient for biking and what not compared to something like an SUV.

The HPD Package is what betrays this thing. Yes it gets rid of the chrome around the grille and windows, and adds the gold wheels. But that plastic cladding NEEDS to be rounded off. The badge and sticker package is horribly lame. And it doesn't even the decency to offer a 1 inch lift or a skid plate? Plus it's still using the oldest Honda infotainment which they upgraded in most of their vehicles a few years ago.

I really like my Ridgeline drove a Chevy Z71 4x4 for years and hands down would pick the Ridgeline over the Chevy in almost every category except ground clearance... The thing I like most about it is that it's a lot more agile sporty and fun to drive than the traditional pickup the other thing that's awesome is when I do 4 hours of driving my back doesn't hurt at the end of the day from truck bumps... The handling is stellar of course a couple of twin turbos would be nice for performance... but I have no problem getting ahead of bigger trucks especially on the highway..
