Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 Review - 1 Month Later!

i want it. not for the features. i just love the size of it.

I ve had mine over a couple months. I bought 3 cases before it arrived, since then ,I've bought 3 more because I hadn't realized the hinge is the most fragile so I now have all hinge protective cases
The phone is very convenient but the highest draw is fun. My Bible runs great on it as well as my other apps except, Duolingo . That's about the only time I can't use the cover screen .

my flip 5 trying to unlock while in pocket,every time i take phone out of my pocket it keeps locking me out for 40min some time 1.20hrs saying to many incorrect attemp to unlock what it could be front screen or finger print sensor, i need help ,thanks.

Oh dont buy anything from casetify. I bought my sister a case for her birthday. Not only was it the most expensive case I've ever bought at 70$, but the woodstock image on the back which looked really nice hasnt even lasted a single year before fading away. If you wanna get yourself a new case every 6 Months, go for it.

I don't understand something. It's in your hand already, all it take is a split second to open it and use whatever app or feature you need why bother typing or doing other crazy things on a smaller screen. Just seems redundant. Also I don't see how this would replace a smart watch, especially ones that can work remotely with your phone back home. It's much smaller and you have it on your write so you don'thave to keep holding your phone or having it bulk up your pocket. I think it's just a retro novelty and it will just pass after a while coz it really seems silly. But I do understand the pleasure of flipping the screen open and close, it is a very satisfying feeling indeed.😂

The hinge does feel like its loosened up after so many times of opening/folding but by far I love it. I upgraded directly from a Samsung Note 8. Battery does seem to drain out quickly if i use the main screen for mails and calls

First Gen of iPhone mini user until I decided to have z flip 5. I got mine last week and it flipped my died hard loyalties to iPhone mini forever. Don't even wanna look back who has really sad about myself... 😂

EVERYTHING about this phone is just terrible. It being a flip phone does nothing useful and only forces dumb solutions to problems that exist for no reason. The outside screen is looks bad and has giant checker pixels, it’s useless and annoying, doing anything on the outer screen is just a gimmick, the inside screen is a stupid shape and is soft and so permanently dents if you touch it with a fingernail and is annoying to have to open and close, the camera is unbelievably grainy, the phone’s center of mass is low and it’s heavy so it feels terrible in your pocket and swings around and smacks your leg constantly, it’s the most fragile phone there is, besides the soft screen, you drop it on the hinge from more than a foot, it breaks and you can no longer open the phone all the way, everything is just bad. The only reason to get this phone is if you think it’s cool enough to overlook how bad it is, and well, that’s why I keep buying the flips, they look cool and feel cool to hold and to open, that’s literally the only good thing about this phone.

Hi, i dont know if it's just my flip 5, but every time i take a video, especially outdoors on Max Brightness, my phone gets hot very quickly, and my video begins to lag? Does anyone have the same issue?

Case that has hinge protection is a must for this phone. I have a flip 4 and 1 drop on the hinge completely broke the phone. Luckily samsung does cover hinge damage for a year or something.

I ended up going with the razr plus back in July just for the sexy red color, but there have been a few little things i miss from my flip 3. Moto gestures kinda made up for it though. But a few days ago the internal display died and when my husband dropped off the package for repair at Fed ex, the guy said they've been getting a LOT of the new razrs sent in for repair. I'm glad i got the extended warranty and really glad i kept my flip 3 to fall back on, but now I'm kinda thinking about the flip 5. My warranty says if i keep needing to send the razr in for repairs eventually I'll get a refund and if it happens again, I'm definitely going to the flip 5. I just really love that red and leather backing instead of glass, and the flip honestly is kinda ugly and i hate the colors on offer -_-.

If you're considering trading in, they will delay processing of your trade in until the return window has closed and then claim your mint trade in phone is "damaged". This has happened to myself and everyone I know who did a trade in.

Did your outter display get scratches easily? I hear gorilla glass victus 2 trade off was to increase the strength against falls, but increase the probability for scratches to occur.

When is the Flip 6 launching? Hmmm I have a Note 20 Ultra, and ready to get something new in the USA. Should I wait? Really not interested in the s23 Ultra, seems bland and too big. The telephoto lens should be standard for ANY "Flagship" category phone too, SHAME. The crazy super zoom feature I barely used on my Note 20 Ultra, so I can live without it. Thank you for the genuine review for a 1 month usage.

Why nobody in video reviews mention that Flip 5 hinch mechanism is way veaker and wobly, than on Flip 4? Just compare it, hand to hand, there is fealable space and nonwanted movements in last gen., even Jerry Rig mention that the mechanism is again near to Flip 3 rhan Flip 4. And thats a long therm using problem.

In what world is only the outside of the phone the only issue. The hinge on the inside is still AWFUL and damageable so easily

I have been an iphone user since my first iphone which was the 4S when they first came out with Siri and last year I switched to the OnePlus 10 Pro and loved it but I got a deal through Google Fi on $500 off with that trade in for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and I cant wait, it got shipped today and I will be getting it on Wednesday

One downside I noticed after using it for some time is that in term of replacing point n shoot camera, regular phone is better than flip. U avoid the 1 additional step of needing to open it first. Keeping it open is an option but u risk damaging the screen in case of a drop. Flip screen phone case don't have thick lips protecting the inner screen for obvious reason.

Additionally although the size is cut in half the thickness is increased compared to regular phone. And while regular phone stick out near the lip of your pocket making retrieval easier when wearing fitting pants, the flip due to half of the size slip down deeper into the pocket making retrieval more difficult.

Good lock will not attract 😢

I really wanna replace my s23 ultra with this. Currently Samsung be putting out huge promotion discounts for fold 5 but I really wanted a much much compact fun device.

Only an idiot would flip this phone open like you're doing. Later you can complain about the hinge not staying in position.

The only downsides I have is

*The camera is not as advanced as the Samsung non flip/fold flagship.

*My service hasn't been the best(it may be Tmobile) and I have the problem with and without my galaxy buds.

I just ordered one and I can't wait to get it
