That speaker is an inspired piece of industrial design. The making of promo videos are as nice as the speaker. Love them.
ОтветитьThanks for the tip on the parametric eq.
ОтветитьDear Sir and Ma’am, If ever given a chance in this lifetime, please play Rainbow in the Dark and Red Barchetta thru these and report back!!! Long time watcher/subscriber. 😃😂😂😂❤️
ОтветитьHow do they compare to multiple devialet speakers?
ОтветитьIs just a bad decision.
Ответить140k in finland no thx
ОтветитьCan you please review the Beolab 5 someday! These have been my dream speakers for years. Sadly they’re discontinued, and I can’t listen to them at the dealer.
ОтветитьThis speaker gets rejected by 87.9% of the wives that will have the final say.😅😅😅😅
ОтветитьIt’s obnoxious
ОтветитьI am from Denmark, and damn I hate that cheap sound, compared to its price.
Many years ago, did I listen to a $1000 B&O and then to a $50 Rotel, the Rotel still sounded bad but despite that, did it kick the B&O out of the field.
If you like a sound from B&O, then try an amplifier for 1/10 of the price and test if it does not sound better.
The Beolab 90 speakers offer something that as far as I know no other speaker offers. It is the ability to change the hotspots on the fly.
The imaging is so precise that that even 2 inches from the hotspot is noticeable!
The only time I have heard this was in the whispering gallery of a church.
It does however show that a lot of recordings are not that good.
The speakers are also very fast, that is they really keep pace with the music. Yes they are not cheap as are many other speakers. I think they are value for money.
Hands down my favorite video review from you…inspiring & truly heartfelt 😉👍
ОтветитьBoy, sorry to say, but you are ridiculous. This is a solid lifestyle product and absolutely nothing special. Besides, not bad for surround system but definitely far from being good or something better as stereo setup compared to the others. Please check Kharma mid/high level products before bringing any funny statements like this one 😀
ОтветитьLoved this video Andrew! Your descriptions and way of expressing how the speakers sound makes it very easy to imagine, and since ill probably never hear these speakers, i appreciate that.
ОтветитьMajor-Breakthrough for Loudspeakers !
New WaterFall Audio Niagara XT1 Loudspeakers at $23K a pair USA !
Long Waiting List for a pair !
As much as I love the design and the powerful, rich sound of the Beolab 90s, I still am shuddering over the fact that the price of a pair of these is like around 150K. I very much love the sound, just the price will turn me off with the price of it the price of a mortgage.
ОтветитьLike anything else, the price makes sense when the quality and engineering is this good. Steinways and Porsche 911s are expensive, too, but don’t try to argue that they’re not worth the money
Ответитьsad
ОтветитьWhatever the arguments are, this stuff is overpriced for what it delivers. Arguments looks like Devialet’s one and same conclusion. One speaker does not set à true soundstage
Ответитьwhere does it get 8200 watts from a 110v outlet , nevermind two of them
ОтветитьGreat review
ОтветитьYou're joking, it's ugly. I can't see anything that remotely makes me want something like that in my home!
Ответить"music reproduction is an illusion" my audio lab teacher describe it perfectly. Electronics is Luxury, a first place to cut spending and markets drop. B&O symphonic baffle is a piece of art. Thanks for the presentation.
ОтветитьNext…
ОтветитьB&W 804
ОтветитьThis is unimaginable for me. A speaker costing more than some people's net worth is ridiculous. However, Bang and Olufsen speakers are really amazing.
Ответитьyeah but a set for $172.500 is insane and unless you rent them for a house showing or something i doubt people would actually buy this, on top of that the controller is sold separately for $900. it's just modern day money laundering lmao.
ОтветитьCan sound as loud as Formal 1 really sounds.
ОтветитьLooks aside, this speaker’s technical prowess is on another level for a number of reasons. It’s truly incredible. It is one of the only speakers I know that have variable directivity.
Good review, Andrew. 👍
They sound fantastic, no doubt! They are a designer piece though and they will charge you a premium for that. There is plenty of ''less expensive'' options, that will grant you better sound IMO. I have listened to plenty of high-end systems and prefer the sound on a pair of B&W 801 D4s hooked up to a set of Hegel H30s any day of the week. That would probably be around half the price, which is still really expensive equipment. But again, each to their own, which is the awesome part when it comes to listening:)
ОтветитьRidiculous beyond
ОтветитьHow do they measure
ОтветитьYou’re making this all up, right?
ОтветитьI’ve dreamed about these speakers for years. One day. I’ll be in a situation to own a pair.
ОтветитьSorry but these won’t blend in with anything. Even with customization it will definitely dictate the decor of any room.
ОтветитьThey look surprisingly good in your room lol
ОтветитьThe American 'wuffer' has me in stitches every time
ОтветитьGreat review, I recently purchased the Diptyque 140 and I understand what you mean about the performer being right in front of you in the room. I hope you get a chance to review the speaker soon.
ОтветитьThis really sounds like an advertising script - not a review.😮
ОтветитьIve had our 90s since 2020. Ive been a B&O groupie since the 80s so Ive been like - Am I biased or Dang! REAL. Its Real.
ОтветитьLet me understand this correctly. This speaker has it's own built in power amps? correct? Thanks Andrew your the best!
Ответить(It does a little remind me of those 'horror babies' in Silent Hill - stuck in a wrap, initially - trying to escape...)
ОтветитьBravo. Such an engaging review, eloquent, passionate and poetic - if the 90's were actually presenting this review - it would sound like this.
ОтветитьB&O have always been “cool,” but always overpriced and lacking. I had a friend in the 90’s who didn’t know better and got a bunch of B&O gear (and a cordless phone for 350 bucks or something 😂) They’ve sold TV’s in the 20k range, misc. electronics, and audio gear for decades priced in the highest range but fall flat next to “real” high end equipment. Who makes the crossovers and drivers in these? Are they using class D amps? There are tons of uninformed folks out there willing to blow 200k; don’t be someone who buys a pair of these instead of say, a pair of YG Sonja 3’s.
ОтветитьI wish to experience those one day. People just don't understand.
ОтветитьThink I'd rather have a house than those speakers, sheesh.
ОтветитьListening to music is emotional. It's no comparison but Klipsch The Fives really showed me how music can make you feel. Even songs I listend to thousand times, it felt like hearing it for the first time. If a speaker touches you emotionally, it's the right one
Ответить172K? They better pay my mortgage.
Ответить
