I'm a Filipino and when I first tasted Durian it tasted really bad and smelled disgusting. They told me that if I force myself to eat them I eventually like it and they were right. Now I like durian. It no longer stinks like the way it used to. It now smells good to me and delicious. By the way, most Filipinos who like durian are from the southern Philippines in Mindanao like me. Most Filipinos in Luzon and Visayas don't like durian.

Out of curiosity I bought some frozen durian from local Asian store and tried it.. the first thing out of my mouth was, "it's REALLY SWEET 😳" first thing out of my husband's was, "it's actually not bad." Out of my sisters mouth was, "it's not that bad actually. " it has an awful aftertaste tho, but just have something sweet to eat/drink immediately after and you're good.

We were all cringing before trying it. 😂my bestie had already tried it prior and told me she liked it. Lol so if you see this comment, it's a sign for you to just try it. 😂😂😂 now I want to try the fresh kind.

First off... where'd they get that durian. Def Not tree ripe then left to rot for weeks. ALSO, There should have been some experienced durian eaters in the 100. 9/10 people hate it their first bite. The taste for it builds and then it becomes any avid fruit eaters favorite. I wanted to see the durian lovers eating it as well.

I ate durian ice cream yesterday first time I ate anything durian related, thought it tasted alright, though the initial slight garlicky taste before it tasted nice was a bit strange. Might try the fruit, not sure how to tell it’s ripe though...
