I'd like to see pressure washer hoses in your tests
ОтветитьOne thing I find myself doing a lot is siphoning water with a hose. This requires a certain amount of rigidity, obviously a lay flat cant play. Might be something to test if you revisit hoses someday.
ОтветитьHey brother! Will you do a video on hose quick connects? I've got some that I'm needing to replace because they leak only after a years use.
Cheers!
I bought that AquaJoe from depot and went through three of them all breaking withing a day after purchase. They actually are terrible. Just my experience though. I'm literally just watering my lawn with it.
ОтветитьBest to avoid aluminum fittings in my opinion. After a season connected to, say, a brass 4 way splitter, they corrode onto the brass threads in such a way that you can only removed them by hacksawing them off. Awful terrible design idea. Can even get them off with HEAT, for pity's sake!. Garbage connectors. I'd throw away any hose I see what that on it or remove those ends and replace them with brass.
ОтветитьMade in USA baby!
ОтветитьI love my flexzilla, just wish they didn’t skimp out on the couplings and used brass ones instead. I had to replace them with solid brass couplings so they don’t corrode and get stuck on the bib.
ОтветитьI've was thinking after watching this video that you could do one on air hoses, from brands like Flexzilla and BlueBird and others and compare weight, strength, rubber hose vs hybrid hose, cold weather flexibility, how easy is it to scratch or damage each brand.
ОтветитьCan you do 1 about corrosion its getting hard to find brass fittings o. Hoses and I have noticed hoses with aluminum ends often get stuck I'm curious if the the more expensive hoses with aluminum ends do better than the cheep ones.
ОтветитьAbsolutely great information but you throw it at us so dang fast, it's hard to absorb. The charts do help.I'm willing to watch a longer video if I can actually catch more information.
ОтветитьI like the flat hoses because of the ease of storage. I can store them in a basement well and not kill any grass laying them down. After some failures, I have learned not to pull them hard and they last. a few years.
ОтветитьMerci Canada M.T.L Québec wow love 😊❤
ОтветитьI used to want to work for Consumer Reports when I was a kid. Very happy I found this channel!
Video idea: similar test to this one but for air hoses. Mine kinks and has cracks and it was expensive!
I just bought new hoses and went ultra premium with the DRAMM Colorstorm 3/4 inch hoses, but they are expensive, It would have been nice to see those compared here because they are so expensive.
ОтветитьMy phone died so I stole my daughter’s tablet so I could finish the video. No lie.
ОтветитьGreat video but as usual the top one is not even available sold out.
ОтветитьThe ONLY hose you need, which was not tested here, is a continental rubber hose with brass fittings. These last forever and are made in USA. Every made in china hose I have ever bought has burst within 1 year. They are ALL terrible. Stick to USA, rubber, and brass.
ОтветитьThe biggest issue in southern Arizona is heat, every hose I've ever had basically disintegrated within 3-4 months in the sun, they always crack and burst. Flexzilla is the only hose I've owned that has lasted me. I've had it for 3-4~ years now
ОтветитьHave you don’t beat hose quick connects yet?
ОтветитьI've had a hose now since about 1968 and never had a problem of kinking. Still going strong. I had to changed the terminal fittings twice. 54 years old. I don't know what brand it is. Bought it at a Ace hardware store.
ОтветитьThe Goodyear hose is a kink magnet! Do not buy!
ОтветитьLove all your vid. Not sure this the right place for this post. I would love to see a test done on squirt bottles, we go through 30-40 each season, can't seem to find one that last.
ОтветитьHow long do you think it would take your favorite hose there to prepare a delicious standing rib roast, or how about two slabs of mouth watering baby back ribs...exactly, so ditch the damn hose and get yourself a Showtime Rotisserie and BBQ...you'll really be glad you did.
ОтветитьEveryone on earth wants to buy you a beer
ОтветитьThe fiber jacket hoses, ie AquaJoe tend to weaken if exposed to the summer sun, etc. I can't seem to get more than one or two seasons out of them.
ОтветитьWe need a video on retractable reel hoses please
ОтветитьHey I was thinking a video on camping solar panels would be good
ОтветитьDecided on Flexogen. This is also carried by Ace Hardware (at a good price!) as "Ace Flexogen", and I believe it also comes with a lifetime guarantee. Thanks for an informed decision once again, PF.
ОтветитьThe issue with those Zero G is.. yes they are great while they last, but if the sun hits it for not a very long time, it will fail.. every time.
ОтветитьWould have liked to see how hose end last with a corrosion test and try to take if off, like how most people will leave hoses on for a year on hose bibs
ОтветитьShould do this again and ONLY compare various EXPANDING hoses
ОтветитьFor Arizona sun rot I've found that the goodyear last the longest for me. Having three different hoses in the sun in different locations, different brands, that the others have been replaced multiple times while the goodyear has over 10yrs on it and doing fine.
ОтветитьGreat video! As a follow up idea, long-term UV/sun exposure would be great to know as garden hoses are usually left outside.
Future video ideas: diy automotive borescopes
Keep up the great content!
I had an expandable hose rupture from being drug around on concrete while washing cars. I liked how lightweight it was and easy to use but need something tougher. Great video but I'm still not sure which would be the best choice for my use case.
ОтветитьAwesome analysis again. 👍
ОтветитьI find that the best hoes are the ones that go to Congressional After parties
ОтветитьIt would be nice to see how flexible in cooler weather. Thanks for all your testing on products it takes all the guess work out of buying
ОтветитьI would love to see a video on pressure washer hoses including some of the flexzilla pressure washer hose. Great Video!
ОтветитьI have 2 water spigots. I have a 1yo flexogen hose that kinks like crazy in the backyard and a 10yo flexzilla in the front yard that rarely kinks. I'm ready to buy another flexzilla cuz the flexogen kinks so often.
ОтветитьI really like the Zero G hose
ОтветитьI work at a nursery and we have tried them all, the one we use was not tested, The Dramm Colorstorm, worth the money
ОтветитьI purchased a flat hose by FITT Force Pro it’s light and so far I like it, so much so I picked up a second one.I did lose some flow but for my needs it does the job.
ОтветитьJust came back to this video because my 4 month old Aqua Joe split in two places. It was running a sprinkler in the shade and I just purchased it in March. Home Depot customer reviews are flooded (pun intended) with this issue. Don’t waste your money.
ОтветитьWhats not made in China. Heck its funny we might go to war with this country yet we feed them a ton of money so they then can turn on us when its time scrambling my head on that one oh well we might learn one day.
ОтветитьThese are great reviews. Excellent Contant. I would love to see tests to resemble real life tests of time. UV exposure, heat and cold exposure, etc.
ОтветитьMy issue with a hose is, where it is crimped, it will eventually leak. Bought 3 different brands and everyone did it! I had to replace every end, just like you show.
ОтветитьPurchased two Gilmore hoses and I could not be more disappointed. Maybe Amazon sent me some cheap Chinese knockoffs. Compared to every other hose I have these are flimsy, I can pinch them closed with my fingers and they kink every single time I use them. I would certainly never purchase one again.
