Why is the volume and bitrate garbage on all these tournaments?

is there no official civ6 multiplayer ranked tournament? Ik strategy doesn't usually get one, but PvP is more complex than chess in some ways. I'd like to see a really grand sponsored tournament, edited and set to like a stadium vibe.

The obvious answer to tank balancing is to partially roll back the armory oil bonus.

The logic is fair, while pretending everyone should be able to get oil is the opposite of realism, pure realism is too non competitive . But roll back armory oil from +2 to +1 and things become way more fun to watch imo.

Think about how much that changes that Aztec game limiting the tanks, and this one if you can only crank out a handful of tanks rather than 6 armies worth.

As a person watching a spectator/commentator it is far less intriguing to watch the entire thing hinge on a few techs instead of all live strategy and positioning being made irrelevant by the tech tree pop and a balancing change being unbalanced.

Another gripe on this game, cc vote was called at turn 81 by the team in second place and team in first place was willing and it was asked what the rules were and no one paused and chimed in with the official rule (maybe there should be an official present or spectators should at least help clarify rules). Had the vote been held as the rules state they should have no one with a veto could have stopped it. Again this assumes the team in 2nd would have voted yes since they called for the vote, but 5 turns later their fortunes changed and so they opposed.

I don't understand that Portugal pick or the decision to just completely neglect any kind of land defenses despite being sandwiched in-between two allied opponents, both of which have strong medieval land UUs. By the time the Byzantine come knocking with Tagmas, Portugal has like... a warrior and a slinger? And thirty ships, which are useless. Did the player intentionally throw the game? Did they figure there was no chance anyway so might as well not even try? I mean, the moment they decided to just not bother with any form of land defenses whatsoever, they essentially chose guaranteed death. That and of course the decision to pick Portugal on a Pangaea map... it's like they were just screwing around with no serious intent to play for real. It was all very strange to me.
