Klaus Nomi! The documentary is great and so is his music. I saw that record at a shop a year ago and it, at the time, was a little more than I wanted to swing. But I've been kicking myself ever since. Next time, I won't be passing it up...
ОтветитьPop Will Eat Itself! Amazing Stuff.
ОтветитьGreat picks. Not the same old stuff like everyone else. Great video.
ОтветитьGood to see you again, David. Good answer for newbies. Social image can really distort honesty with one's self. Look forward to you new finds. Take care. -Jeff
ОтветитьThe Dixie Chicks are also named after a Little Feat album.
ОтветитьHope to run into you soon at the record stores again, keep the videos coming!
ОтветитьGood to see you again Nazz! That Bang record looks more like a power pop album than doom metal. Either way my interest is piqued. LOVE that Pop Will Eat Itself album. I’ve gotten to see them live a couple times and they’ve been so much fun both rounds. I’m a big Brian Setzer fan too. I got really lucky that my dad had a killer taste in music and I inherited loves for both of those acts. Lexicon Of Love is one of the most crucial 80s pop records. I need to give a deeper listen to the first two Crowded House albums. Never got super into them but I looooove Woodface.
ОтветитьNice to see you back, been awhile. That’s how I collect, great statement David. Love the look of your speakers. Lol, I discovered Ten Years After from Columbia House when they sent Rock and Roll Music To The World by accident and have loved them ever since. Awesome that you are back
ОтветитьLong time viewer...first time commenter. First off, very much enjoy your vids. Although we have similar tastes in music, I have learned quite a bit about other bands from you. Just when you think you know a lot...there is always more to learn. Anyway...loved the PWEI mention. I had “This is the day...” on cassette, then CD and was lucky to find it on vinyl for super cheap at a Half Price Books store last year. The stuff they were doing with samples was next level at that time! At any rate...thanks for what you do and stay safe!
ОтветитьBack in ate-tees, I used to change the dial when Pop Will Eat Itself came on !! Ha ha. Maybe I'll try again.
Your peev and mine are the same.
The bullshit flag for newbies is they rush to the internet to get info on a band and pretend like it's off the cuff. You don't need a Sabbath UK Vertigo original to love Black Sabbath.
Ok Pop Will Eat Itself- still awful....IMO
Unique stack... Yeah, it's easy to get sucked into buying albums you don't listen to on the VC. But then again it's a great way to find new favorites. Have a good one!

My fav Canadian! Yes! Max q totally slid under the radar! Couldn’t agree more.
ОтветитьGreetings from Poughkeepsie, NY! Great vid. Hockey! Lol. I’m hoping Football is going to be still happening. If not, I guess I’ll just listen to more records. I love that Cream album. I remember listening to my Dads copy.Take care🤟🏻
ОтветитьThe Obscure vinyls, mostly private press 70's USA oddities, can contain many treasures. But if you listen to ABC and the Knack, probably not for you. A friend of mine collects vinyls that you like, similar age, in a sense more 'bizarre' than the folks who seek out the more unknown.
