Does degree matter to get a high paying tech job?

I am 2nd year collage drop out. Can I still getting job

Please someone guide me. I am a non tech graduate ( bsc pcm ) I am currently learning DSA and later on will start with MERN stack. I really want to make it in this industry. Is that possible for someone who has not done btech/bca to get a decent job atleast? Also please answer keeping in mind the impact and job risk due to AI !

sorry i am outside of india and i dont even know what IIT is, so me and everyone else outside of india wont give a sh*** about your IIT degree. 😂 and if you try bragging with it, we will asume youre neither just a rich kid whose unreasonably high tuition got paid by the parents or you got yourself into debt. (both options wont put you into the best light)

if youre planning to move abroad after you finish your university, just get a degree at any university and be a good coder. if you stay in india for good, yes maybe IIT is important...

All that a good college gives is lock you up with decent people who want to do good , so you are bound to not fail at least.

Guys really world is changing after this internet boom companies are becoming intelligent they are not Doing mass recruitment now they are doing mass job cuts.IIT is also becoming victim they will only hire greatest talent from now as many college graduates are available

1. Become genuinely interested in
coding
2. Contribute to Open Source
3. Do a good side project
4. DSA become really good at it
5. Work at a start up.

In my opinion, he talk with good intention and filling with honest… these should continue like this

1.If where you get your degree is not as important these days, then is it OK if you don't have a CS-related degree at all but have the experience/skills through stuff like FOSS contributions and competitions as you said?
