3050m better should be named 3030... What a disappointment. I used to buy a laptop with this card onboard, now i realise that in a couple years it will become unactual😢

vram isnt a bottleneck tbh in rdr2 and god of war the 3050m was using 3.8 gigs while the rtx desktop was using 4.3-4.4 gigs
the power consumption on the 3050m is probably the problem here not the vram look at gpu power consumption on the laptop version its only 60 watts compared to the power on dektop which is 130-150 watts

Mobile rtx 3050 and 3050ti felt underwhelming, they have 4 GB less vram compared to normal PC version, also slower.
I think buying laptop with an AMD 6600m is a much better choice, up to 20% faster, 8 GB vram, and costs pretty much the same.
Shame on team green for botching their entry level mobile RTX cards like that.

RTX 3050m definitely cannot be named even an average gaming card; and it's very greedy of NVidia to make laptop GPUs such a trash can with VRAM cut in half

this is no comparison Desktop 32 Gb 5200mhz ram and laptop 16gb 3200mhz ram i think the fps difference should be only 5-10fps not more

need help i just bought a laptop with i5 11th and rtx 3050 and 8gb of ram my gpu usage is just 43% and i tested it in furmark so i got 4500 score so i think its a bad score should i upgrade to 16gb of ram ? imean does the ram bottleneck the gpu? or there is a problem in gpu ?

Medium settings can definitely improve avg fps by a big margin. 4gb vram is bottlenecking in some cases.

The laptop reaches 80C+ for almost all the games. So does mine and I was pondering if this temp is safe for modern laptops but I guess 5000 series CPUs are just this intensive that makes them boost and get hotter. Should I let it perform like it wants to or disable the turbo boost since it brings down the temp by about 10C. Can anyone suggest?

30-35fos in God of war and 20fps in rdr2 is a lot of difference. So rtx 3050 desktop can easily beat rtx 3060 on laptop lolll . Going to get a pc when prices are down

Umm.... 4GB Vram causes severe bottleneck these days. If VRAM wouldn't have been a problem then the performance difference would have been b/w 10-15%
