The fact that Russia was once called the USSR, was once a very Communist country, but is now considered one of the least 'woke' places in the world, is just absolutely wild. The irony being is that a huge number of the so-called woke people in the West are in support of Communistic ideals.

A Russian fellow, with whom I had worked, moved to the US, and word-for-word told me that Russia is the worst place in the world. This was back in 2015. Has it changed that much since then?

My main thought is this: how is this working when right now a majority of the other countries in the world are against Putin due to the situation with Ukraine? Are the ex-pats who are wishing to move to Russia completely shunned?

This is not an attack or a disapproval; it's merely a fascinated query in to what I perceive as a potential conflict of interests. I guess I am still not fully understanding how this could work considering what's currently going on with the Ukraine. The topic is very interesting, nonetheless!

It is a dystopian nightmare here, I'm very awake to our western brainwashing propaganda system, our government is a full dictatorship, rotten to the core since 1973, we have no law or justice, our society is turned to crap, lots of problems here, forced lockdowns, forced vaccine mandates (which has left me mentally scarred for life), rise cost of living, paying lots of Tax, housing crisis, digital ID, sudden deaths, immigration, LGBTQ, drag queens, drugs, alcohol & crime, chemtails, staff & skills shortages, censorship, wokeness, 5g towers, poisoning our food & water supply, the bullshit goes on.

It was never the same when I was growing up, the world has changed.

This is not the Australia what I wanted, it is now the most over governed and over regulated country on the face of the planet and it just gets worse and worse and worse until people wake up.


Oh and don't forget my hard earned money is gone into sending our Bushmasters to the Neo-nazis in Ukraine, only to be captured by the Russian forces and now displayed at the war museum in Moscow.

Have I lost my mind?

Absolutely great - the only thing is that it's for people who put a very low value on democracy. I loathe 'wokeness' as much as anyone, but I value British democracy very highly indeed, and note that our forefathers fought and died for it against oppressive dictators such as Napoleon (we were allied with Russia against him), Kaiser Bill (Emperor Wilhelm in WW!, again we allied with Russia), and Adolf Hitler )once more we allied with Russia). Unfortunately, the present Russian regime is profoundly anti-democratic, in fact brutally and murderously so. I couldn't move to and live in such a country. Nor could anyone with a shred of conscience.

Westerners can live as a tourist in the Philippines. It costs $30 a month to continually extend your tourist visa. You can live in nice areas, like Eastwood, BCG, Makati, or Alabang very well.

Honestly, I would understand if we were not especially welcome because from a Russian perspective we are coming from countries whose governments are responsible for killing their young men. Its a difficult one... :(

Move to Russia to do what? The wages are from 400£ to 1000£, as far as I know. If you are poor, you are likely remain poor in any Country, especially in Russia.
