Мінск, Белару́сь - A glimpse of Minsk, its Stalinist architecture and its people. The city has stood for over 900 years. Most of Minsk was, however, rebuilt after it was decimated by the Nazi's during World War II. The city centre was replaced in the 1940s and 1950s by the characteristic Stalinist architecture - Monumental buildings, broad avenues and wide squares. The city still bears many of the hallmarks of the Soviet era.
