My grandmother used to tell me stories like this when i was younger. I’ve been looking for the tales that she told me online, trying to find the one about the butterflies - my all time favorite. Now I’ve found one that sounds almost exactly like the version that my grandmother told me :D

The idea of family honor and patriarchy brought a lot of tragedy for millions over millenias. I hope people who say feminism is bad can go and study a bit. Not all branches of feminism is bad. Of course, every idea or ideology will have the radical part. But it doesn't mean the feminism itself is bad. We as humans still have a lot of work to do, because there are women out there who can't attend school, go out without the need of permission, work, and choose whom to marry.

A loved one passed a few years ago, and this all happened today. What a lovely reminder

WAITTTTT, my mum grew up in rural punjab, pakistan and she would tell me this story as a child but i have no idea how she would have known chinese folklore ??
