Given everything that we have read about the Prototype, I have an idea of what his end goals might be or two ideas.
1. He wants to be human and has more or less embraced the worst kind of human emotions.
2. He has a god complex and is seeking to ascend.

The original smiling critters' deaths beside DogDay and CatNap are kinda depressing. While most of them died trying to escape or eaten by another toys, some like PickyPiggy and CraftyCorn were succumbed to the madness like the former convert to cannibalism and the latter become murderous monster

Giving me serious Bioshock vibes in the beginning. Especially from Elliot Ludwig, that was straight up an Andrew Ryan message. And then even moreso with the reveal of Playcare, had the exact same feeling as Rapture's reveal.
