Why does the actress portraying Astrid have a Stockholm's accent? Meanwhile her parents have a Småland's accent? That bothered me a lot, lol.

I recently watched it. It's such a good movie. I did cry in the end, tho, after knowing her sad, early life from this movie, but I'm glad that she lived a long, peaceful (and hopefully happy) life, having written so many books that children all around the world read her books. My favorites are Pippin Longstockings and Ronja, The Robber's Daughter, I fondly remember reading them as a child. Astrid was an extraordinary woman that never gave up and lived long enough to be well known and beloved all around the world.

Truly brilliant. Too good for the mainstream (which is a shame. Imagine a mainstream that thrived on this sort of content? The world would improve by leaps & bounds!). An extraordinary woman. I'll bet Lasse was glad to have a mother like her! She never gave up when most would have crumbled. Puts me to shame. I'd have never found that sort of courage.

I watched that film on February 19th with my mother at the theater.
It was great.I love Astrid Lindgren.
