If you are in fier fight the 30 rounds are definitely a big advantage, and low recoil helps a lot. In some situation like a fire fight against armed enemy at some distance I prefer that Smith to a 9mm, in a short distance when the bigger "punch" of the 9 matter most 9mm it's better
ОтветитьGreat looking gun. Too bad I can't buy one because the authoritarians in Canada have banned the purchase of handguns.
ОтветитьGreat for target, great for trail, but what about conceal carry? It's a freak'in boat ! I guess Smith and Wesson didn't consider their largest market cap....
ОтветитьSorry it isn't disappointing they didn't add a threaded barrel. Most sane people aren't fans of threaded barrels.
ОтветитьThank you for your thoughtful reviews. You are among the very best on the internet! Please keep it up for all our benefit!
ОтветитьLum Tec?
ОтветитьSorry but any gun with a safety on the trigger need to be outlawed and removed from the market for being VERY Very Dangerous!!!
ОтветитьI recovering from cancer currently but as soon as I’m home this will be my first purchase. Have wanted a 22WMR auto for years 😊
ОтветитьI’m really looking forward to the ballistic comparison. After a long illness I’m finding it difficult to enjoy range time with my existing firearms, and it’s hard to enjoy it when your performance degrades as the aches and pains increase.
ОтветитьNice review as usual. My wife has small hands so the trigger reach is a concern. Do you think a small hand would fit? She has a S&W 651 but the trigger pull is like 14lbs!!
ОтветитьSeeing those fiber optic rear sights pop in and out on the KelTec and finally disappear when the slide locks back is hilarious.
ОтветитьI have safeties on my M&P pistols, but I’ve always said they are obnoxiously big. The safety on this 22 Magnum is exactly what I would like on my other M&P’s.
ОтветитьNeat pistol but I'd like to keep my hearing, thanks
Maybe I'll consider 22mag when I retire.
I've been interested in this pistol, I have around 3,000 rounds on the PMR30 with no failures except once (I rim lock the magazine).
ОтветитьS&W is just taking keltec designs and making them good.
ОтветитьEbay has a loader for the S&W MP 22 magnum. I have my Smith running nice and smooth.
Ответитьif it had a threaded barrel i'd go buy one this weekend
ОтветитьI hope S&W keep on with the rip-off Kel-Tec pattern, and they do their own CMR-30 carbine derivative of this, but reliable!
ОтветитьRuger needs to make a 10/22M
ОтветитьHad this pistol for a month now. First pistol ever so got snap caps to learn how the cycle, load and clear jams before shooting live rounds. Love the easy slide on it compared to other semiautomatic pistols. Love the fireball coming out of the muzzle and sounds louder than you expected for this size caliber. I got it for capacity but 30 rounds at a time does get tiring. I’m 66 so I only load 20 at a time on the range and have 25 loaded otherwise. It fits my hand great and the mag release is on the right side because I like using my right index finger than my right thumb to release the clip.
Pretty accurate at 5 to 10 yards is what I got it for self defense. Ordered a holster for open carry.
I will stick with my TX22 competition. S&W quality and customer service has gone down hill.
ОтветитьI love the 22 mag cartridge. A few failures occasionally makes this a great training pistol.
ОтветитьHey Chris, we can send you a Hilljak Quickie Loader for loading those 30rd mags. It really helps you Get Loaded Quicker!
ОтветитьNo threaded barrel seems like a major misstep
ОтветитьPaul Harrell has done a comparison of 22 magnum and 5.7. I do believe if you want to just check out his video to make sure you guys don't tread over completely the same ground. Then again he doesn't use ballistics gel so it's already going to be different
ОтветитьProbably the best review yet on this pistol! I don't really have much a need for it, but by golly I'd like to add one to the collection!
ОтветитьAnother great video.
ОтветитьRead between the lines
Sounds like it’s still has bugs to be worked out. This is version 1.0 just like the first version of Kaltec PMR 30.
Now Caltex re-release version 2.0 has worked some of the bugs out
Sounds like Smith and Weston is releasing a item on to the market. That’s not quite ready yet..
S&W should come out with their FPC in 22mag, the. You can buy the pistol to go along with the carbine/rifle.
ОтветитьPretty much, S&W's recent policy so far has been "copy stuff, but do it well enough that nobody will mind."
ОтветитьOk, So, two companies have figured out magazines for rimmed cartridges...... Sooo wheres the .357/.44?? 🙃
ОтветитьI'd love for you to go over the lcp max. I know you did a pocket rocket run down a few years ago want to see what your opinion on the max is.
ОтветитьI'm curious what could be done to reduce the issues with heat buildup. Perhaps a fluted chamber to help float the casings? Or would that rob too much gas from the barrel system?
ОтветитьRim fire? I use Preperation H for that ( * )
ОтветитьI want one! But it ain't no Five Seven!
ОтветитьI don't need to be swiping my credit card for much right now but anybody got some info on 12 gauge federal flight control? Specifically the 8 pellet. Stuff has been awol for most of the year. Anyone know where its all gone/going or if its just been discontinued or something?
ОтветитьI love the M&P9/40/45 and their standard line of top shelf revolvers. Everything else kind of seems a bit cheap. S&W makes a bunch of guns at many price points and not everything is good. I held the 5.7 and it doesn't feel as "duty gun" as the normal M&P line. Feels like a budget gun like the bodyguard line. IThe 22 magnum is the same way. How in the hell is a 22 magnum "military and police"
ОтветитьI'd like to see this chambered in 22lr... but they could aslo do it with the Aguila 60 grain 22lr bullet in a full size 22lr casing
ОтветитьLucky gunner ammo prices are too high, making whoever buys it not so lucky!
ОтветитьLove shooting rim fire, but will never consider it a real option for serious use. Think I would take the 5.7 M&P over this one and would consider it for serious use.
ОтветитьS&W really need to do something about there QC.. Waiting for gen2.
ОтветитьThey are having too many issues
ОтветитьI love when S&W copies KelTecs homework
ОтветитьGrendel P30 got no love in this video for being first
ОтветитьNow if S&W would just copy the next page and make a carbine that uses the same magazine...
ОтветитьOh man, really looking forward to the 5.7 comparison. I hope you include 7.65 tokarev and mauser, too.
ОтветитьI'd love to get some ammo through your site, if it wasn't for your HIGH SHIPPING COSTS. Ridiculous.
ОтветитьSo S&W copied Kel-Tec's homework for a third time with this one...
ОтветитьLet's hope S&W makes a carbine version as well to replace my ill-fated and now gone CMR30
Ответить
