Is there a Cradle of Filth release with real acoustic drums?
Maybe an old Demo or one of the first albums?

Never been a huge Cradle fan, I like bits and bobs, saw them at Hellfest one year and was blown away by how good they sounded. Always loved Dani though, incredible interview!

I'd never listened to Cradle, but Dani was really likeable in this interview so I had to give it a shot. I've been missing out.

Honest question, what is the infatuation with hating on God/Jesus thing? Like if you zoom way out, the overall them of Jesus was a hippie-esque man that that encouraged others to be good people and do good unto others. So by mocking Jesus, does that mean that you don’t support that way of life or something? And if that is the case, why aren’t you out there punching people in the throat and pissing in their eyes, stealing from people, murdering, etc? Like if you don’t believe in creationism, the lifestyle of Jesus is still a model that you could aspire to live by. I’m not Buddhist or Hindu, but there are aspects that one can take from their gods to be like, “o that’s actually not a bad idea or way to live.” So why is the mocking of Christ the “cool thing” to do?

I know two people who’ve hit Dani Filth. Two. In completely unrelated incidents. Only time either of them have ever been violent, they’re the chillest people you could meet. Dani’s ability to get a rise out of people is impressive.

Cruelty was always my favourite album of theirs in spite of the production. In fact, it's just one of my favourite records. Just about fucking came when I heard the remastered drums kick in on Thirteen Autumns and a Widow. It's perfect now.
