Look at all this plastic, this is when you understand some things are not about recycling because repeating patterns can be dangerous! Recycling pop cans and actual plastic bottles is a whole other story! It will prevent having to acquire a new charger and cord for the new cell phone & throwing the old ones away.
Same chargers and same cords for all cell phones that can be used interchangeably.

The plastic industry make their profits by destroying our oceans, the fish and soon us!!Why not have them pay for recycling it!

In Denmark we pay a little deposit on every plastic bottle we buy. Every grocery store has a receptacle you feed a used bottle back into (also glass). The machine crushes the plastic, ready for easy transport to recycling. You get a receipt for your bottles, and are paid at the checkout. Circular system, and I’ve never seen a plastic bottle in the environment. If there are, they are quickly snatched up by someone who could use the money, who then returns it and gets paid. Win-win! This system works….what not use it everywhere?

And they want to pump more oil. Byproduct is sludge, sludge used to make plastics. Best off to use glass or recycle all the trash on the planet. Leaders shouldn't be greedy for money and start doing a good service to humans and the planet! Use Hydrogen for vehicles and aircrafts. It works!

How quickly does it wash off? I'm just wondering if this will increase the consumer useage of water. If it does then another problem is being created as the world is running low on fresh potable water. Some consumer reeducation may be needed. I know a few people that wash all fruits and vegetables, even the ones that require peeling, which is ridiculous.

The latest figure in 9 billion tons. I"m old enough to remember pre-plastic packaging, along with most everything else. Companies foist this stuff on us. For most everything, you either buy plastic products with or without plastic packaging or you don't shop. Food at farmer's markets can be bought without any plastic in the process - if you bring your cloth bag. that's also true with supermarket produce if you want.

China, Indonesia, phillipines, Vietnam and Sri Lanka are responsible for the vast majority of mismanaged plastic waste. India, Japan and Africa are not doing a great job but better that the ones mentioned. Canada, US, Europe, Australia, and South and Central American countries are doing great with respect to managing plastic but let’s pretend it’s plastic and not the country that are just dumping it in rivers. Stop blaming environmental problems on countries that are doing what they can. Now with Biden we are importing exorbitantly more expensive and dirty fossil fuels si he can virtue signal and screw American businesses and consumers not to mention our economy it lets print 4 trillion and then raise interest rates and tax rates to create stagflation and a looming depression. This crap makes me sick. If you want to identify problems be honest and call out the countries that are responsible. Do you think we are going to lead by example. They see us getting in a financial log jam and they say, let’s follow their lead instead of seize an opportunity to out compete them on the world stage. All the plastics in the ocean all come from Asia. Almost 100% Yep. It’s funny when in order to virtue signal we blame a particular product that we handle responsibly here in the US. We have literally identified every single river in Asia some in Africa that leads to the ocean with plastic is dumped in why there are plastic cups bigger than many of the states in the US in the ocean and what it’s doing to the fish. However why do we Condemned the plastic that assholes in other countries can’t seem to deal with when we are able to deal with it just fine and it doesn’t end up in the ocean. We need to get past this pandemic. It has created so much new waste that wasn't around before the pandemic. Think of all of the PPE's. The gloves, needles, mask, and all that's associated with the production of and the transportation too. This pandemic is going to have additional unforeseen consequences to the planet if we're not careful.
