Instinct Interview with Director Austin Peters: 'Skincare'

Filmmaker Austin Peters sat down with Instinct Magazine's Denny Patterson to talk about experiencing co-writing and directing the new IFC Films thriller, "Skincare," which is now exclusively playing in theaters.

Starring Elizabeth Banks as famed aesthetician Hope Goldman, she is about to take her career to the next level by launching her very own skincare line. However, her personal and work lives are challenged when rival facialist Angel Vergara, played by Luis Gerardo Méndez, opens a new skincare boutique directly across from her store.

Throughout the interview, Peter also discusses how the idea for "Skincare" came to fruition and why he felt like this story needed to be told, as well as his overall directorial vision, working with a stellar cast led by Banks, and which scene was his absolute favorite to shoot.
