no hate but i learned driving on group b cuz i won a championship like fourth place and i had the money for a pegoet 205 and i would recommend you do the same but dont go flat out only like stay in third gear to have more traction and use the AWD

Best wheel settings? Cuz either my wheel is broken or the ffb is ass on this game, because the wheel feels floppy at times, sometimes there is ffb and sometimes there isnt, could anyone give me good ffb settings?

I would disagree with turning off codriver calls. The voice lines are plenty informative. He even gets more agitated if a difficult section is coming up.

They should disable support for controllers for sim racing games. No wheel. No game.

Set the car up for stability. This completely changed (saved) the game for me. It's rally, you don't need a twitchy super responsive car. For a starting point, increase (about 2 clicks) Slow Rebound and Negative Toe.

Mostly right but iv had the expirience that if you loose it at low speeds, pushing the clutch and breaking a tiny bit helps to get back on track because the wheeles get pushed in the dirt so they burry themselves a bit

One thing that helped me immensely was learning about trail braking, ie braking while throttling to slow the car but maintaining RPM for coming out of the corner.

great points, but I gave up on this game and dont plan to return to it. The car is just so far from realistic its laffable. In a real car, it wouldnt be as difficult as these games to go slow. Rocks on the side of the road that can right the car off... well,.... You tips a re great, but theyre still just tips to get you to be able stay on the road. In real life, I would need no tips. Say no more. But thanks, I may have a 5 minute go to see what happens. I dont believe things will change much, because driving slow give way more than 10 seconds away. Which makes it just for pros with 5k's wortth or rig.

Should I use semi- auto gearbox on controller? I find it hard to time my turns when Im focusing on shifting gears. I feel like manual is probably muhc better when using an actual setup.

RWD: Throttle control. Personally, it's the most flexible in terms of handling. Most people just don't use it because it's terrifying, frustrating, or too powerful.
FWD: Brake properly, you'll know when you start understeering. Easiest to learn, but is the most boring in my opinion.
AWD: It's stubborn to drive, but you'll have more confidence. Oversteer will not be an issue since it's in your control now. To clarify why it's stubborn (for me), if you don't turn in a corner correctly, the understeer will end you. It's like tugging a rope left and right since AWD cars are generally heavy.

why am i good at 1.0 but suck at 2.0? the steering just feels like shit in 2. no feel or feedback.

honestly it sucked a lot up until i combined an Oculust Quest II and Logitech G923 w/ shifter into one single ultimate sim-rig. Before, I could never make it above 6-8th place. Now I consistently come 2nd or 3rd. I can push 110% through the sections and corners without crashing. This was absolutely unachievable using the monitor or god forbid the XBOX Contoller

A mental thing I always have in mind when racing on Dirt rally is always try to stay in the middle I remember I was going super fast down a hill with lots of trees everywhere but I stuck to going fast, also another thing about when losing control and not pressing gas and breaks is when you're car is back to facing onto the road just flat out to fight the the car to gain control, and don't break if you lose control or you'll just end up sliding off the road it's best just to get the car back into control by facing toward the road and then stepping on the gas, I only break if I have to do sharp turns and I know the road is more open if it's narrow I shift down instead.

Another really worthwhile tip is 'Set-Up'.
Setting the car up properly is invaluable.
Everything from being on the right tyres. To ride hight and suspension bump, rebound, spring rates and anti roll bar stiffness will all make differences to the handling of the car. Also your gearbox ratio settings can really help your stage times. There's no point is having really long gearing that makes car capable of 150 mph, when the stage is really tight and twisty and makes it virtually impossible to reach any higher speed than about 90-100 mph.
By lowing the ratios, the acceleration of the cat will improve.
Having said that, sometimes it can help if you slightly lengthen first gear. This will help to get off the start line by decreasing wheelspin.
Try different settings over and over again until you have 'tweaked' the car to make it more suited to your own preference and driving style.

I bought Dirt Rally 2.0 thinking it was just a dirt racing game which I like then I learned it's a rally racing which I wasn't really familiar that much.
I enjoy the game but I just really suck at it.
I felt a bit good when I tried using slower cars and sometimes I feel like a pro because I shift, brake and gas quickly XD
I do enjoy the game but it's just too hard for me to be actually good. But thanks for these tips, I'll try them when I play again :)

I race in real life , and i kept trying to get used to this game. 1 and 2 ... But this game is so fake ..feels like driving on ice EVERYWHERE . stopped playing because of this . I never slide that fast in real life . Much to slippery ....
