Sudo always have a root permissions bro..... Try With out using sudo....chage permissions

Consider using the following command (as root) instead of exiting the sudoers file:

usermod -aG sudo varaprasad

Then all you have to do is logout and log back in and you're all ready to go. No Editing /etc/sudoers with visudo no nothing.
Easy peasy.

if you want to avoid the logging in and logging out then all you have to do is login as root from the console (CTRL-Alt-F1) and after you login as root, type the usermod command as above. Then exit and login as your normal user. This process is going to be done once and you're done.
