Watched the whole supercut today, fantastic work Mortym. Thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for this. I've had this one & WoTR sitting in my GOG list for quite some time, but I wasn't sure it was worth the time investment. Did my best to pay minimal attention, playing this in a secondary window so as to not spoil it for myself.
Those two games should keep me busy this winter. Not crazy about the end slide narration, which seems fitting for a children's novel, but no game is without flaws. This seems like a couple that can hold up to multiple playthroughs.
I wonder if splitting the chapters of the games into seasons was a tip of the hat to the Dragonlance series from the 80s. One of the central stories was told in three novels, Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, & Dragons of Spring Dawning.
Do you plan on ever doing a wotr "Story Of" or no plans for now?
ОтветитьMan, i cant wait for the Wrath of the Righteous story videos!
ОтветитьActually there is a way to hide your name from the Raven, it’s just ridiculously hard/complicated to do so.
ОтветитьThe whole story reminds me of a dnd game with a GM who had cooked up so many "clever" twists that he seriously got pissed when we anticipated them and punished the whole party regardless and still went through with the story. Oh you saw through the raven trying to get your name and spent the whole session to avoid saying it..well he picked it up somewhere else...bam!
ОтветитьKudos for this! I held on watching this video for the longest time, but considering the money grab scam the game was on consoles, I finally gave in and watched this. I got to the aftermath of the Season of Bloom, but even on the ps5 it's a coin toss whether the game crashes or not every time I try to save or enter a new area... But it's a pretty great story! It feels like my defender of the true world druid would've fitted the overall story pretty damn nicely, but it is what it is.
ОтветитьJust beat this game for the first time ( I had to put Kingdom management on the easiest difficulty).
ОтветитьThanks this video is a safe way to watch the story again without personally dealing with a billion spiders that spawn with blur
ОтветитьPLEASE DO WOTR!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWho the hell clicks on a video summarizing the storyline of a video game and then complains about spoilers?
What the hell does "the story of ..." mean to these people?
Theres no helping some people
Thanks! Amazing video. I loved wrath of the righteous but the mechanics on this one were too much for me - but the story is amazing and thanks to you I could experience it
ОтветитьWhen are we getting The Story of Pathfinder: WOTR?
ОтветитьDamn love the story of this game. It feels like a series with the chapters being the seasons!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьI love kaessi, shes so fucken op early game(dunno about mid to late game, havent reached that)
ОтветитьThis is amazing! I don't have time to play the games but can at least live vicariously through narrative! Thanks Mort', I'll subscribe! I'm going to use this for a home brew DND campaign....
ОтветитьI'm guessing you showed us the end scenes from one of your evil play throughs.
ОтветитьTartusio kept one shoting my whole squad at the begining. Just left most of the team outside. For the Stag lord I just let the bear do the fighting and and sneaking into the place and convince the guy to join us.
ОтветитьI remember really hating the fact the game was time gated and severely punished you for adventuring around but then appreciated it later on. Most games will give you some really important quest or something and you can simply take your time with no repercussions, but pathfinder really drilled home that you need to complete the main quests as they come or risk your barony falling. Not implemented perfectly, but still I can appreciate them trying to create the sense of urgency.
ОтветитьThank you, Mort’. I love worlds with deep lore, such as Pathfinder.
ОтветитьFuckin great game
ОтветитьWhat a great and underrated game. Its kinda sad that, no matter how much I try, I cant seem to fully understand the combat system which takes away a bit of the fun with these games... tho I tend to struggle less with WotR
ОтветитьDo one for Wrath
ОтветитьThank you for this amazing video! Hopefully you’ll make the same for “Wrath of the righteous”, that would be awesome, that storyline is even better!
Ответитьoop spoiled!! can't play this game now....jk
ОтветитьThank you for this supercut, had problems with the game so i couldnt get far, great to see such a through explanation of all different choices!
Ответитьcan you do a pathfinder wrath of the righteous story supercut please that would be awesome
ОтветитьLove this, you're going to do the same kind of video for WOTR ?
ОтветитьThanks. Got kinda distracted around 2/3 of the way through the game and over several different attempts at party creation and this is a helpful reminder of a story that was spread out over countless hours and that I may never fully finish. I certainly doubt I'd get every single companion quest correctly solved and get the secret ending.
ОтветитьDude, SPOILERS! Wtf?!
XD
God i love this. Are you gonna do the sequel game?
ОтветитьI don't know why, but I really wanted Nok Nok as an Advisor.
ОтветитьAWESOME VIDEO! VERY, VERY HELPFUL! I liked Kingmaker, but I was, (well, still am) frustrated about how quickly and easily certain quests could be broken, missed, or never seen because of the time mechanic. I really hate it when there are super-secret endings that rely on knowledge that is frustratingly difficult to get and when there aren't really any actual hints about what's important. I get that it's fun to explore, but even exploring in this game hurts you if you visit a place before a quest is ready there or too early in the chain to unlock certain options by visiting other places first. It's very, very annoying. I like playing games without guides, but this had so many "if" and "then", and "or" layers built into it that quests could break by being too good and being able to fight particular battles as soon as you got them instead of wandering around looking for more pieces to fit into the puzzle. As fun as the game was, I had put in a stupid amount of hours only to have quests permanently break on me, too. I might give this game another go because I do enjoy good fantasy games and I like to finish what I start, but at this point I'd be starting from the beginning again. At least this time I'd have better guides.
Ответитьholly cows, what a great guide <3
ОтветитьReally appreciate you making this - eventually I had to drop the game because I felt so many gameplay issues added up to prevent me from enjoying it, but I still wanted to see how the story panned out. Looks like I stopped just before things got interesting as well, the chapters up until then felt somewhat disconnected and weren't providing enough of an incentive for me to push through the gameplay issues
ОтветитьI romanced the villain, The outcome would have had political issues with how powerful my/main toon's consort would be on the larger world.
ОтветитьMy favorite channel right now! Keep it up!
Ответитьman i get total burn out in act 4
ОтветитьI stopped around the rushlight tourney cuz the game was too long and i moved on to other stuff. WOW so much happens after that. Thanks so much for going through all of it in detail, I literally could not find anyone else who sums up the story
ОтветитьYou are fantastic at this. Calm, balanced well sounding narrator. Thank you.
Also you should make a video on specifically how to save Jaethal and Tristian.
I hope you make a story video of Wrath also
ОтветитьBOY one of these for Wrath would certainly be interesting, the azata path is canon you cant tell me otherwise
ОтветитьDo you do any more of these? I think this is great! =)
Ответитьjust found this and watched the whole thing. I started playing kingmaker right before WoTR came out and once it came out i couldn't resist playing it. Very satisfying to found a story recap. Going to watch PoE recap next
ОтветитьFunny that arcane trickster can kill Demigod in half a round, solo
Ответитьfor escaping, using invisibility makes everything easy. which is why it's catered more towards martial characters. a mage or a wizard would only need an invisibility spell ready and one athletics checks to survive.
Ответитьspoilers much !? how about a warning ! lol
ОтветитьIs it possible to trigger that final sequence with the Lantern King even without qualifying for the secret ending?
ОтветитьAlgorithm engagement
Ответить
