im running 49 all core on 1.225 volts

is 5.2 overclock a over kill ?

I just installed my i9 10900k and 64gb of ram and so far I love it!

how is your cooler sitting at 28 mine st idle is 33-44

i cant get over 5ghz, anything over the whole pc freezes - the prediction sp is 63 and says for 5.2ghz i have to set 1.65v !!! (auto overclock gets 5gz at 1.4v if i set it manually it just crashes, no bluescreens, just complete hang if its below 1.39v - im yet to ever get lucky with overclocking any cpu on any computer ive had my whole life.. i always get the bad silicone lottery (upside the hottest my cpu ever gets is 60oC lol but for now im stick on high voltage 5ghz or normal voltage 4.7ghz)

Should I disable turbo mode to get my 10850k to constantly run at 5 ghz? I'm new to overclocking. I have a z490 motherboard, so I know it has overclocking support.

This guy is basically waisting performance with his oc the 11 gen gets alot of its performance when not just doing an all core oc but ocing the cache if fact ocing the cache will gain more performance than the oc itself with this gen cpus so if your doing a 5ghz or 5.1 oc set ring ratio to 46 or 47 I found anything over 47 is diminishing returns.i just thought I'd throw this out there to get the full potential of the 11 gen cpus

Hello, i bought one of the biggest cases just for airflow. A corsair 5000x, I also have a 360 mm AIO from corsair and 3 fans from there. I got a 10850k and a z490 motherboard. The 3060 ti and a corsair vengeance ram and a 650 w corsair psu. I should be able to overclock mine to around 5 ghz right?

Does anyone know if he has intel speedstep turned on or off on this over clock?

i used to learn gigabyte's offset mode but it gave my 10900k sunddenly 1.468v~1.512v while i run fpu . when i found that i quiekly stop the FPU and shut down the computer. is it ok that 1.468v~1.512v run by 1 second? 1 second can damage the CPU????
