Super 👏👏👏👍👌
ОтветитьAs a black man Catlin Clark shouldn't have to apologize for nothing 😮
ОтветитьYour referencing Ryan Mundy's statement about how black players (all players) having good mental health will benefit everyone in the sport, really made a light bulb go off in my head. I hope I am not speaking out of line but it does seem like a lot of the animosity toward CC stems from the never-ending marginalizing that black players and black lesbian players have had to endure all of their lives. I am not justifying any unfair attacks against anybody, but as an old white man, it does help me understand the situation better.
I thank you gentleman for being the voice of reason in a venue where many seem to think that being the loudest makes you the "winner."
Fair play is the only way.
What ? They don't see her that way. It's pure jealousy and hate. They will never accept her.
ОтветитьWhy apologize for being white? Crazy
ОтветитьAnd here I thought her talent was the reason for her success guess I was wrong
ОтветитьWhite privilege......Black privilege
ОтветитьSwoops is a fool
ОтветитьIt’s just amazing bruh if Caitlin was a black lesbian everybody would absolutely love her but because she’s a straight white woman she has to pander just to not get bullied smfh
ОтветитьThey should address the jealousy and hatred that all levels of black women in the W have thrown at her. No excuses!
ОтветитьI thought Aja Wilson should have won “Time Athlete of the Year”!
I thought Caitlin Clark & Angel Reese should have won Co- Rookie of the Year!
Caitlin's brand remains unchanged. The Time Magazine interview did not adversely affect her status on either the national or the international stage. It is the extremes on both ends of this argument - the end slices of the loaf of bread - who are warring. As for Caitlin Clark and those of us who truly love her and what she brings to sports, we are at peace. The 95% of us who live between the end slices of the loaf of bread - from Black to White - we are still on board the Caitlin Express.
So what. She threw the cry babies a few crumbs. Did you notice that to them that wasn't enough. Why not? Because that wasn't the true objective behind them vilifiying Caitlin Clark. If it was about race, being from or playing for Iowa, and allegedly having a mid-Western racist fanbase of "White folks" who are "anti-Black", then why did they not also go after Caitlin's former teammate, Kate Martin? Kate Martin played alongside Caitlin during those consecutive NCAA title appearances. Kate Martin is also endeared by the same alleged racist mid-Westerners who endear Caitlin Clark?
But Kate Martin is not villified at all.
This is not about race, and it has never been about race.
This is about something else.
"How dare Caitlin Clark come into OUR SPACE, the WNBA, and DOMINATE, and steal the spotlight from everybody else - past and present - then refuse to shine that spotlight in the very place and on the very thing that is MOST important to the majority of us on each team's roster, each team's coaching staff, to the league's management and to team ownership!"
Just like "Coffee is closers" per Alec Baldwin's famous pep speech in the movie Glenberry Glen Ross, "the face of the WNBA is for players who push the real narrative of the WNBA" - the narrative that the majority of the league's players, owners, and managers (likely) share in common - and it probably ain't race or skin color (see Candace Wiggins).
Race is percieved as being a more acceptable lead-in to address the true objective that is desired to be pushed. If you want to know the real objective, then revisit Dijonai Carrington's first openly verbal assault on Caitlin Clark. That is the goal of the WNBA powers-that-be for Caitlin Clark (allegedly).
In other words, Caitlin being the shining star that she is can be so much more powerful if only her stardom could be redirected to shine where the WNBA et al. wants it shined.
My take on the outfit that Caitlin Clark wore during her Time Magazine interview was that it was extremely appropriate for the occasion - an occasion whereby she delivered the message that she delivered. What her words gave to the Left, her attire took back from them - no glaring tatted neck, no glaring tatted chest, no glaring tatted legs.
Caitlin's garment and her decorum exuded femininity. She was donned and adorned in a manner to appeal to those of the masculine crowd (it doesn't matter whether or not she actually succeeded, it is the message that counts). During that interview, Caitlin provided something for everyone!
Caitlin Clark is so talented that she made women of all women sports realize they can play as their dreams she made more money for wnba and the wnba poplar even men are now watching
ОтветитьShe's great person who's loves to play
ОтветитьThe W players have to be likeable and engage with their fan base in positive way. Caitlin did this in college and continued to in the W.
She earned her place in this sport with her hard work and effort. No one should be rewarded just because they show up. We the fans want to see passion and excitement in true "ballers"
We don't want to see activists.
Great segment, gentlemen!!
ОтветитьCC22 just sold here sole to the devil, not one white women abused CC22 not once stop to CAP PIVOT,
ОтветитьThis pity party is nauseating. It’s sad that Caitlin had to bend the knee in order to placate the people who hate the color of her skin.
ОтветитьHow the hell is that hazing Channing?
ОтветитьAja Wilson got robbed of this award!
Aja Wilson beat her & got another gold medal!
😂😂😂😂 … i don’t expect you to understand what she said … go back and read it again … to grasp what they mean … the message being sent out by Caitlin Clark … anyway she is your new member in the woke club … enjoy it …
ОтветитьYou guys are outstanding !
ОтветитьShe is a beast. I'm happy because I love the WNBA
ОтветитьYou’re going to watch her favorability plummet. She has apologize for her white privilege. There is no damn white privilege.
ОтветитьThank you. We, fans from other parts of the world appreciate what your saying. Most of us are from countries where racism doesn't exist and american politics doesn't affect us at all.
We just want to see CC play, she deserves athlete of the year and a place in forbes list of 100 most powerful women of the world as well of the 30 under 30.
We will be happy for her for each one of her achievements on and off the court.
She's already a millionaire at 22.
CC just budweisered herself ..... Woke B.S. ...
ОтветитьDon't watch sports media anymore because of race hustlers like RC. So now you praising cause she bent the knee to thugs. Don't tell me hazing. We saw every hit and tweet and interview. But she said the words so look how happy you are. Pathetic I am not mad at her. She is 23 and was out through hell by these clowns in W. And by the way I guess you forgot player of year in college who entered WNBA first season was Rebecca Lobo. Fools trying to tell people what they saw. But you beat a young woman to submission. Congrats
ОтветитьShe should of said this earlier, it might of stopped some of the bs
ОтветитьMichael Jordan didn't have "White Priviledge" issues. Kobe Bryant didn't have that issue either. Why is it different in the WNBA?! Why can't people just be people and try to be the best they can be regardless of color, race, and gender?! Want to kill racism? Stop talking about it! Geez... let's all get off the plantation. Saying Caitland got what she got, just because she is white and not because of her skills, is an insult, and downright stupid.
ОтветитьThey're setting up to lose 40 million this year! Race, no race... It's an absolute disaster of a company. A quarter of a century old and has never made money. Only lost money. Talk about privilege. Any other company would've been long gone folks. Female privilege. Hmmm. Kinda hard to argue the fact huh?
ОтветитьI don't understand why are we talking about race in Sports and this is only in the WNBA. I don't see this issue in the NFL, NBA, NHL, why? The WNBA is a toxic league that has lost millions of dollars and has been sitting on top of the NBA's shoulders to keep this league alive. White women have played in the WNBA for all these years yet this was not an issue. Stop this nonsense and just give CC the credit she deserves to making this league relevant. MJ did the same to the NBA and brought the game worldwide, Serena resurrected womens tennis when it had lost it's popularity, Tiger made Golf visible like one else before. These are special athletes and lets stop making it a race issue and be grateful we are allive to witness greatness.
ОтветитьNo they beat her ass, they were more physical and touched and hit her. All the nba players were calling it out, they knew she was getting beat up every game. They wont do that to paige or junu when they come to the league i promise you. Caitlin bringing everyone and the league up but some blk ppl dont like it because its not a black person.
ОтветитьThis white privilege acknowledgement bs is exactly one of the things that lost y'all lefties the election but ok lmao
ОтветитьThe wnba not being profitable was never about equal opportunity or race, the game was fucking boring holy crap I've lost so much respect for these guys saying this crap
ОтветитьWell explained👍❤CC’s humility at the highest level😇
ОтветитьLove the pivot. Reminds me of Brandon Marshall's show, which I also really liked.
ОтветитьThe women of the WNBA will collapse their league with their own jealousy and hatred especially wokness, did we say when Tiger came into the PGA that we have to include all the old players, No, when Jordan came in and dominated the NBA did we say include all players? Did we ask them to apologize, No, this is ridiculous.
ОтветитьYo, whoever is the barber over there, they absolutely killed it with the cuts and beard line ups. RC fade and beard are CRISPY AF. 👏 to the set barbers
ОтветитьCC is going to be the ambassador of the WNBA. The gift to articulate with such wisdom is phenomenal. CC has an awareness of white privileges and is using her allies to elevate the entire league. CC will continue to use her platform in a positive way and hopefully the players will adapt and unite as an association. I am disappointed with Sheryl Swoopes’ behavior and negative comments towards CC.
ОтветитьI've been a fan of CC22 since her freshman year. When she says what she said, she said what people are too coward to admit, black and white.
On one side, black people felt she made it solely on color. On the other side, whites were oblivious to the perception of white privilege.
The girl is balling. She's humble. She's what you want in an athlete.
And as a black man, I love her and what she stands for. 💪🏿
First of all, you can't have white privilege in black majority sports. Secondly, CC22 earned everything because of talent and good sportswomanship, not privilege. Lastly, if black women think there's white privilege in the WNBA while they're the majority, then stop crying about it and start your own league.
ОтветитьHow ridiculous to suggest that WNBA should get the award. Caitlin Clark is not famous just because of the WNBA. She is the all time leading scored in the NCAA. She even beat the men! Should the NCAA women's basketball league get the award too? Caitlin was the GOAT even before entering the WNBA. She would probably have won Athlete of the Year without. the WNBA
ОтветитьO Now Ryan clark want be nice
ОтветитьDisgusting take. Race card forever is the worst, and now to apologize to your white. Stupid
ОтветитьYou guys are full of it!! She put the time and effort to become who she became. White priviledge was not a factor in her carreer!! Her dedication did it!!! And she's paid homage to her "foremothers" all along.
Caitlin was physically abused by the WNBA and not even her teammates defended her. I am counting on the FEVER to trade for some "TERMINATOR" who will have Caitlin's back this year whenever she gets attacked on the court!!!
She's the real league MVP bar none!!!!
She elevated this league to new heights of excellence.
To the rest of women basketball players everywhere, you better put the time and effort into your craft, specially you Reese. Work harder cause your bullshit is helping us forget you.
I have been waiting to see what you guys had to say, as always
ОтветитьWhat EXACTLY is she getting from her whiteness? Be specific!
Ответить
