oke, coffee cup done :p now he needs to learn to walk :0) , loved this small Tutorial <3
ОтветитьGreat tutorial. We don't have to combine meshes, making it continous? When does it matter?
Ответитьthank you very much , it has so much usefull elements in it !
Ответить... I was about to start typing, then an add popped up... "yes it gives you stuff fast",.. these algorithms.. Thank you sir.. it's a time saver gem.
ОтветитьNice work
ОтветитьThere has to be a simpler way to attach that handle to the cup lol
ОтветитьHi, I'm surprised every time I watch your course or Blender course. It seems like it's easy to produce a great-result. (Not at all in my hands). Thank you for the good video. I have a question. I'm a blender beginner and a longtime Maya user. Based on Maya standards, I think there are a lot of polygons in the result, is this because the blender can operate more polygons? Or is it to produce results faster? Usually, in Maya, if I'm going to make a similar result, I don't go with this much wire right before the wire that the Renderer makes. Of course, I understand that it's going to be similar to Maya in Modifier and Edit mode, but as a result, I think I see a lot of wires Did I misunderstand?
ОтветитьYour tutorials are better than any paid ones. I admire your understanding of the polygon topology and the great idea of controlling with it. I will follow you as a true blender modeling teacher of mine.
Ответитьhi there, a simply and quick one. Do we always need click the "apply" each time we have done set the modifier?
ОтветитьAwesome video
ОтветитьI would rename the video to 'Blender SubD Modeling Fundamentals' - this is confusing for beginners as to what hard surface should actually be.
Other notes, for the boolean slicer, some scene management like moving it to a 'cutters' collection would have been nice to present.
Don't duplicate with alt+d without explaining in this case its behavior (any changes to the original mesh, will be reflected on the duplicated instance), instead use shift+d that doesn't have this behavior.
Also, when we flip stuff in blender, like you did with the legs, you haven't explain a problem you just introduced. The scale of the object will now be negative in the mirrored axis. This is problematic as once we apply scaling, all the faces will be flipped, this is a major issue especially when exporting for game engines. To fix this, enter edit mode after applying scaling, select all faces and hit shift+n to flip the normals.
You use subdivision modifier on almost all meshes, this just isn't hardsurface modelling (it would at most have a bevel modifier and that's it, mostly boolean and direct work with vertices).
My two cents, again good video for beginners but low bar quality in the delivery of the video and topic.
I remember how daunting Blender felt coming from 3DS Max many years ago but since then I never regretted the change and wish all that they stick with the tutorials at the beginning, the more the better and from as many tutors as possible.
I learned some new techniques from this video, but there are concepts that I believe are fundamentally wrong. Coming from C4D and being concerned about clean topology, I'd extrude both the handle and the eye from the mug object, making it a single object, adding support loops as needed for the shape. Same thing applies to the duplicate mug just for the sake of the top rim. I don't quite get the point, it's a simple extrusion or inset. Simply slapping on another object without properly attaching it is a typical blenderism.
However I didn't know the rounded cube trick so it's worth a thumbs up.
Decent tut, covers loads. Thanks man.
ОтветитьBro I want to do custom pieces of model an then want to show all pieces fall due to gravity but when I after cutting model in edit mode when come back to object mode no piece seen it show the original model help
ОтветитьVery well explained!
Ответитьamazing work
ОтветитьNice. I never thought to use shrinkwrap on just selected faces to merge parts like that.
ОтветитьI loved it, thanks
ОтветитьI really struggle with modeling but I could follow your instructions so easily. Thank you so much, I appreciate it :) greetings from Brazil
ОтветитьHarden Normals!!!! (why is that not on by default????)
Ответитьlovely cup o' drug
Ответитьgood tutorial.thank louis
ОтветитьI first heard of Louis Du Mont when I got the Robotic Planet course. I’m a big fan now.
ОтветитьAwesome, the content is simple but have learned so much.
ОтветитьI can't see anything
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI love this short form content. Great supplement to your more detailed tutorial work 💪
ОтветитьThank you for putting this together!
ОтветитьEin guter Kaffee schmeckt auch kalt gut ... 🥝🥑😂😉🤡👍
Ответитьthe second😅
ОтветитьYou guys are amazing, thank you!
