Are there two types of present participle?
If so, what is the difference? one takes
"Comma" while the other takes "And" please explain?

= Opening the door, she saw all her friends.
She heard the news and fainted.
hearing the news, she fainted.
I heard the phone ring and picked it up.
Hearing the phone ring, I picked it up.

This video is very helpful. However, I think you need to tone down on those sound effects.

There is three kinds of participle
