UK: HOME VIDEO OF JAMES BULGER RELEASED

The parents of U-K toddler James Bulger, have released a home video of the child at a birthday party just before he was brutally murdered.

Jon Venables and Robert Thompson shocked the nation when they were found guilty of killing baby James in 1993, not just because of the nature of the crime but also because they were so young.

Caught on camera, the two schoolboys lured James away from his mother in a shopping centre in Bootle, Liverpool and later murdered him.

The boys have spent the last eight years in jail, but there have been furious arguments in court - both here and abroad - as to how long the boys should be imprisoned.

Now one of the country's top judges, Lord Chief Justice Woolf, has ruled that the pair have done their time and should be considered for release.

They've spent most of their childhood locked away and some feel it is sufficient punishment for a crime that was committed when they were so young, but James Bulger's mother is angry.

She says the boys have been allowed to "get away with murder".
