Which RTX 4090 to BUY and AVOID?! | 35 Cards Compared! Asus, MSI, Galax, Gigabyte, PNY, Palit, Etc.

Running triple-1440p monitors I am thinking of upgrading to a 4090 in the future, especially as you still get good money for a 3090 STRIX these days.
I am still not sure which one to get, as I don't see the STRIX price justified over the other cards for little to no more performance. Not planning to overclock the GPUs anyway, must be said.

Personally from the tests I've been reading, I would say the top contender is the Gainward Phantom GS, as they usually build very reliable cards which don't need too much space in the pc-case.
I'm a bit confused though to see it ranked only in B-category here, as on pretty much every other site I've read it ranks within the Top-5, if not even higher. They surely are better cards than a Colorful or Galax?

Pretty pointless really. No matter what 4090 you get, you’re getting the 4090 experience. The 4090 was designed to use all 600watt from the getgo, and only last minute nvidia decided to lower it to 450watt. The decision was made so so late in the release program, that the aib’s didn’t have time to change the cards. Meaning all the 4090 regarldess of what 4090 you get will be more than adequite for 450watt and should all hit 600 watt if available no issue. That’s also said for the coolers, they’re all massivly overbuilt.

Wondering how the Gigabyte Aero 4090 stacks up against these cards, hardly any info on it anywhere

Could you please tell me what's the difference between the 4080 aorus master and 4080 super aorus master? Because the latter costs way less, and seems to be the exact same...

Can't decide between strix oc and aorus master.
Both in cooling and final tier lists they are in the same block, but you say strix oc is the best air cooled gpu ever. I would like to know the reasons why I should go for strix oc over aorus master, apart from being able to control the voltages manually. Any info would be really appreciated, maybe by an aorus master owner too

Hello. I have a Palitv4090 gamerock video card not OC. It warms up to 77 on chip and 94 on Hotspot at peak loads. Is this normal? Will there be no harm to my video card? Will these temperatures shorten its lifespan?

Casual gamers have no reason nor business getting near those variants above the founder's edition. Those cards are meant for enthusiasts and professionals who know what they are doing. But if you really want it you may buy it.

I have a gaming X trio. It died on me within its first year but I got a replacement. My new one has been perfect but its kinda nerve wracking because it costs so much and I am kinda just hoping it doesnt fail too.

I have a Zotac Trinity RTX 4090 made by PC Partner and it can be overclocked taugh I have never observed it exceeding 400 Watts. With that being said, the frequency can be adjusted and also you can undervolt it by lowering the power slider with any GPU handler ap like MSI Afterburner

Thanks alot for this, I really wanted an Asus Rog strix RTX 4090 but they are next to impossible to get. There was one for a few minutes on amazon for 2250 euros second hand, it went away almost instantly.
