Regroover by Accusonus Overview/Tutorial

Just curious, when you dragged in the file into Regroover, you didn't do it from within Reaper, right? Because I can't drag and drop from within Reaper! Reaper doesn't "know" that the Regroover window is present so when I try to drag a file from a track in Reaper, it just moves along in the Arrange area of Reaper but can't be dropped onto Regroover. Just want to make sure there isn't anything wrong with my install. Thx!

Thanks for this. You've made it clear what this can do. Perhaps I missed it, but is this the regular or Pro version.

And does the Pro version add anything more than function as a dedicated Recycle type maker of preset files?

My own view is that there are at least two major deficiencies in the software as you illustrated it.

1. There needs to be a 'note on' option to select between immediate, next beat and next bar. Without that its performance utility is pretty crippled.

2. There needs to be a snap to grid option so that you can really dial in your rhythm when using the track loop feature.

What I really want is for Spectrasonics to add this deconstruction as a feature in Stylus RMX. Eight channels multi-out is plenty and with tempo varied midi triggering this would really be the bomb.

I think I'll demo it and see what I think ... then there is always 'Black Friday.'

The extraction and layering feature alone is reason enough to buy this. I hope that drum loop wasn't a stem or a pre-layered loop and Regroove can actually do what it claims. The Re-BPM abilities is pretty amazing as well. Damn! I gotta get this.

are the loops WAV or MIDI? can't find that info on the vendor site. I need a good app for converting WAVS into MIDI.

Kinda artefacty, but that could be useful as a way of creating contrast between these layered loops and the original loop. Different colours and vibes, so to speak.
