Thanks so much for such a great and fun video!!!! I enjoyed it so much that I watched it 3 times, laughing from your comments and mistakes that we all do, but that is all what is about in a lovely hobby like X Plane. I like this 12 version but is well understood that being beta there are still items in need of fixings so we will wait for good. I was able to fly this B737 on my 1st try by following your advices. Keep up with your great videos, Nothing fancy, no crazy introductions and loud endless video concert presentation. I liked the video and you have a brand new subscriber. Thanks a lot progrmr airlines!!! 😂

I guess the reason why you had to get your N1 up to 45% to start rolling the aircraft, was because you didn't disengage the autobrake switch after the rollout.

I'm still practicing in the Cessna 172 and occasionally the Baron 58, but I want to try the 737 as my first airliner. That overhead panel gives me anxiety though; sooo many buttons to keep track of!

I'm new to X plane. Who can explain to me why VNAV isn't that effective on this Boeing 737-800, or maybe i just don't know how to operate it the right way. I feel comfortable and trusted if i use LNAV and VS to decend or ascend, but VNAV sometimes i feel like it doesn't sync with the flight plane; for instance, i don't know if could decend with it. How, though?

Hi progrmr. I have just completed watching the flight. It was fun. And a very stable approach! I am trying to do this the last few days here... The autopilot of the default X-plane 12 737 is a bit weird sometimes. Today, after seeing a first part of this video, tried the level change mode of the autopilot. It immediately pitched up to get over 5000 ft/min climb. So I returned back to the vertical speed mode, where I can set the rate of climb/ descent myself. Back to your flight, I thought you noticed it at the end when you wanted to switch of the bleed air. At the beginning you switched off the apu bleed air but you forgot to switch on the engines bleed air! But since you did not go higher then 10000 feet, it was no problem here. And about that missing atis. I had the same with an add on scenery of Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Neither of the two published atis frequencies did work. But than I checked the frequencies in the x-plane map mode, and there I saw that there was an atis on 118.000. I set that frequency and there it was! So you may want to do the same!

All you have to do at take-off is hit the N1 button on the auto-pilot...at least that is what I do? Thanks! Great basic video on FMC and auto-pilot setup!

Did you hit approach whenever you had glide-slope capture? I have learned on this heavy baby you can't just chop the power right before touch down...best to leave a little power in when landing! Bent frame and nose gear replacement....not bad 😄 Just kidding! You should see some of my landings you will would feel like a pro!!!

Watching a few tutorial videos and trying on my X-Plane 12 many times, I found: 1 - if you do not activate flying flight plan by tapping on the LNAV, and you want to increate your speed, you have to level the plane down to say 2- 5 degree by lowering your vertical speed, 2 - if you have activated flying LNAV, the speed is out of your control but governed by the plane's computer.
