Just one of the most sublimely perfect, inspiring and feel good moments in film history for me. As it comes to the point just before that defining crane kick, the very slight nervous judder of Daniel's head, Mr Miyagi's subtle nod, the building tone of the music, then bam! Gave me goosebumps then and still to this day does the same. We were sooooo spoilt with films in the 80's!

The fact that johnny hands the trophy over to Daniel and even tells him 'You're alright larusso'

Who else noticed Daniel tapping his leg before Johnny hurt him?

This is just a movie,in a real fight Johnny would have finished Daniel.

In the first Karate Kid Tommy screams “Get him a body bag” (referring to Daniel vs Johnny) and in Cobra Kia Tommy is the one to be put in the one to be put in a body bag

Johnny wasn’t the villain. He became the “reluctant” anti-hero who was antagonized by the real villain of the movie, Daniel.

I still cannot watch Daniel attempt the crane kick as Mr Miyagi wills him on without crying even now!! With his back against the wall Daniel trusts what he has been taught completely it's beautiful. I love this ilm!!

I love how throughout this movie, Johnny and his friends (mostly Bobby) showed at least some signs of not truly being bad. Kreese had made them this way, thinking that Karate was just about fighting, offense, etc.
