8bitdo's ultimate controller is the best pro controller for the switch IMO. It has two less buttons but the build quality isn't.... Jank. It also has hall effect thumbsticks and comes with its own charging dock. You should try it out.

Professional review. The Power A Pro Fusion 2 (Xbox license) is better, but has big cons too.

This switch controller for sure has weights in it. I took em out within a week of having it..

Also, I have mad stick drift on the right stick when using the controller wired.

I did not like the loose feel of the joy sticks and precision rings just did not work due to fact of the joy stick rings on shell being huge. One precision ring will not work. Two doesn't work either and 3 kinda does something but then joy stick feels hard to move. It's a mess, if they had stick tension like turtle beach recon this thing would be murderous.
Also super big delay in dead zone.

I like the concept of packing paddles into an accessory pack, it gives a singular controller platform the breathing room for different implementations of back buttons. Sadly it's on console, so this would always be a remap-only accessory, and not have the potential for discrete buttons for platforms that have the capability of extra buttons. Imagine if someone prefers the button style of the eXtremeRate Jump packs, someone else prefers the Scuff style of vertical paddles, another person prefers the Aim style where they're all splayed out from a central module, or if someone prefers the typical horizontal paddle layouts, etc., and this is before getting into actual placement preferences, what if someone likes their paddles to be distant and raised, if someone else likes their paddles to be otherwise flush with the controller's contours, what if someone likes their button placement higher than typical, or if someone else likes their button placement lower than typical. Making paddles into an accessory can have a lot of options for a consumer, as back button placement preferences depend on how you grip the controller, small hands might not reach typical paddles, larger hands might overshoot and find typical paddles uncomfortable. This would also open up the opportunity for custom accessories, I've seen a 3D printed paddle pack that moves the upper paddles to the shoulders, as a lateral bump, with the lower paddles being a downwards press rather than a press into the controller's body; there's also an alternate configuration of this same print that has the lower paddles be lateral presses towards the grips. One accessory port to support any design of paddles, and really any amount of paddles as well; personally I want a controller with six paddles because I always map L3 and R3 to paddles, and I feel that most designs, with my hands at least, my middle fingers can handle both button sets, so six paddles would physically work for me.

The DS4's paddle pack already works in this way, an accessory port I2C device. I'd assume the DS5 would've had something similar if the DSE didn't exist. Microsoft never did this, but this is how their chatpad and headphone accessories worked, though I'm not sure if the DS4/5 had first party chatpads; again, third party accessories only work off of the port's power, data is over bluetooth as a secondary device, like how things were in the PS3 days, while the 360 used a UART expansion for it's chatpad. Microsoft could also add motion controls to One/Series controllers through this method, if Microsoft ever expands Xinput to have IMU support, as Nintendo and Sony have supported motion controls for three generations now. Accessorizing a paddle pack in a similar way isn't too far out of possibility, it's just getting a company to actually implement it in these ways.

Furthering this, with a proper accessory implementation of it being an I2C device and having the firmware open to the accessory being a separate device, much how first party chatpads work through the accessory port, these could be discrete buttons, and the packs themselves could go beyond just buttons. If anyone is familiar with Tech Yesterday's channel and content, you'd know that there's some niche uses of other inputs, such as a scroll wheel instead of buttons, say for variable zoom or hotbar scrolling, etc.; similar examples would be a back joystick, analog paddles, touchpads (more of a strip per side than a full pad, as most of a full pad would be unreachable, though the PS Vita did this) are another possibility rather than push buttons, etc.

I used the power A fusion for skyward sword and definitely helped with the odd mechanics. Only thing I had issues with was my right stick made more of an oval-shaped pattern when testing. Took off the face plate and made a circle. Not sure if that is from the removable face plate rather than a typical controller build. But did what I needed

ive bought 2 of these far and both have bad problems when im in my map in zelda breath of the wild taking off a pin. when i try to go down to delete the pin it wont let me. it has no problems going down in normal gameplay but i cant get the thing to go down unless i force it really hard, the normal controls that come with the switch work but this controller in particular has alot of issues. i used it for 2 days and it started drifting then i couldn't switch slots in my inventory. i got another one and thats when the map issues started. ive had this new one for 3-4 hours. im not hard on my controler at all, i think its just not good gameplay quality.

Edit: jackson dalton said "Like the anti friction rings were actually in the way and the thumb sticks couldn't reach the edge. My solution was i took out the ring and it works perfectly, and is still smooth as butter." i took them out and it it works now
edit again: its totalled 2 days later, completely unuseable. hasent been dropped or man handled. just used

OMG, I just found this Channel, this is the Channel I have been looking for. Now Ill need to go through all of your Controller Videos to find the Controller I have been trying to find for years. Only Controller I have found that met my needs was the GameSir T4 Pro. The programable buttons that lets you do just button swaps or Macros. Seems trying to find a controller that lets you program Macros on these buttonts is hard to come by. Again the only controller I have found that lets me do this is the GameSir T4 pro, I would like to find one with the T4 features but better quality. Anyone here wouldnt happen to have any recommendations?

hung in there for 25 mins for the gyro and wish there had been more info on the topic given It's prevalence in Switch games. Idk much about Xbox; but I don't think it has gyro, which might be a reason someone would want a Switch Controller for PC. Gyro comparisons between the Fusion, the Switch Pro, and the Dual sense might be a worthwhile should you consider a followup vid.

Your reviews are great. What is your highest graded switch controller? Have been through hell looking for the best smash bros controller. It seems like after a few hours of playing 100% of switch controllers, including the pro controllers, develop latency and become unsuable for competitive play

Power A Fusion Pro’s a bit of a rip off
- No Rumble
- No NFC Amiiibo scan
-Bluetooth functionality to get the motion controls to work??
In some ways it just feels a bit of a downgrade compared to the regular Nintendo Switch Pro Controller even though you’re paying MORE.

If I try mapping the top 2 back paddles to different buttons they just keep mapping to the same thing. Like either y will be both top paddles or x will be both too paddles. Tried unmapping them both but that doesnt work either. Is my back paddle module defective or is there a way to factory reset it?
