When and how did you let your hair grow out?

By the time I work up the nerve to buy a slip skirt, they will be out of style!

I often wear patterned silk shirts with my slip skirts, I think they work well.

Thanks so much for styling slip skirts! I have bias-cut silk ones in several colors (most from Quince) and I just love them on my straight figure. The elastic waists make them comfy and helps them stay up much better than sewn-in waistbands, which can wriggle down off my skinny hips, which aren’t much bigger than my waist. The only difficulty I have in styling them is that all but the thinnest tops show through the fine fabric when they’re tucked in. I often wear silk tops under them, and I love cropped tops with them, which because I’m short, generally cover my waistband when left out. I hate to wear shapewear, but they can smooth out the excess fabric from tucked-in tops under slip skirts. I think I just need to size way up in shaper shorts, the waists are always too tight, and flip over.

Thank you - great tips I will definitely be using. I tend to shy away from slip skirts as I too am 5'4" and wear a 12 (ish, depends on brand, could be 10 or could be 14). I love that you are my size and you look gorgeous in these skirts. I will definitely feel more confident wearing them now that I know how to properly do it.
