The Absolute Disappointment of AEW Fight Forever

Good Ol' AEW: Wait Forever.

Fun gameplay would be enough for a fighting game honestly if it had in depth and expansive creation modes for people to make arenas, wrestlers, moves, entrances, PPVs etc I'd say. Lack of content is what's wrong with this game and offering a ton of paid DLC isn't a good solution for a game that launched full price with minimal content.

Video Game Nerds are awful, and Wrestling Nerds who think Meltzer has a clue are even worse, combine them and you have the most laughable people on the planet

To harsh? That TNA game was trash. Subpar. Lackluster. There wasn't even any Knockouts. As a kid I liked it I guess but it's painful playing now. As for AEW Fight Forever that game is barebones and not worth picking up. Not to mention the story is hot garbage.

What disappointed me the most about this game was the CAW. The way they hyped that up made me extremely hopeful for this game, as I’ve sinked in so many hours into no mercy’s caw making tons and tons of different fictional characters, but the result was so barebones I couldn’t bother making more than 1 custom wrestler. Shame

It's crazy how this game had twice the development time of modern wwe games, yet was only marginally better than wwe 2k23, and that's a pretty low bar

Well, WWE 2K24 has brought back the classic THQ camera angle, the casket, ambulance matches. Special guest referee match. You can also throw weapons, have punch battles, and perform dives off the announce table & steel steps so I don't think FF stands any chance for the foreseeable future...

I don't think Aew Fight Forever was bad from a game play standpoint but the lack of content at the launch was really bad.

Say waht you will but aew fight forever is still the best wrestling game on the switch but considering its opponents thats not saying mutch and runs better than most of wwe,s games

THQ should have went with what made the older games so great. Doing so much with the controls like they did just to be very different from 2k really messed this game up

You get what you pay for. 10 million to make a video game in today’s world isn’t much honestly. The low end of game budgets is usually around 20 million. I don’t blame thq or yukes. Khan should have paid more if he really wanted something legit

When this game was announced, I was like Im 100% dropping 60 dollars to get this, I dont even care if the graphics are bad, as long as they have a universe/GM/Booker mode. I genuinely feel like they had a guaranteed Grand Slam, and struck out looking.... Its crazy to me how were supposedly advancing so much, but the games now are significantly worse, I understand its not the easiest thing in the world, but WWE shot themselves so hard by going away from the format of smackdown vs raw. It was so fun as a kid to be able to trade superstars and pick your champions and to see how many fans each show had. the star ratings, it really feels like to me like they made wwe battlegrounds in the style of smackdown vs raw graphics. Im glad i didnt pay anything for it but i still feel ripped off

WWE 2k17, 2K18, 2K19 and ultimately 2K20 were progressives buggier and worse because Yukes was not good with X1 and PS4 generation. Their next two games bombed critically and financially then AEW game proved WWE game issues weren't 2K but Yukes since WWE 2K22 was built from the ground up and now back to higher standards and performance.

I wish this game had more time to bake in the oven. Idk why they announced it so early. I understand to generate hype, but they basically shot themselves in the foot. Overall, the game is fun, but it can get boring after 3 or 4 matches. Instead of the dumb mini games, they could have put that time into more match types. I wish this game was better overall. I wanted it to last a long time so I could bounce between WWE 2K and AEW FF. Hopefully, their next game is good.

The game feels a little woke. The first thing I see when I boot up the game is a guy in pink and rainbows. Not a good first impression. Then I notice you can turn on vegetarian mode for eating?

I literally just wanted an actual time based kickout system. It's the only thing keeping me from buying the game. I hope they have one in the next game.
