Diablo 4 Barbarian Build - Hammer of the Ancients Endgame Build (Level 70+)

Thanks for this - I’m running this build by following your level 50 video, now I’m prepping to be at this set up by level 70. Will you be doing a final one for level 90?

This build is so glass cannon need suggestions for defensive aspects and malignant hearts please.

Crazy i heard all these good things about Barbs and how strong they were so i decided to wait for season 1 .. what a mistake that was , they absolutely neutered the Barb it feels like , don’t even wanna try out my rogue or necro cause I’m scared to see that blizzard did to them

Why not make an updated build for season 1 ?

This build doesn't clear high level nightmares

I loved this build, along with the idea of not using the shouts.

I want to continue this into season one. The patch hurt the damage, but I swapped out exploit for wrath on the paragon board, which seemed to get the damage back up. I didn't get the chance to min/max the gear; I only swapped the glyph, and with the same gear, the damage went up a lot.

I would love a post-patch version of this build.

Can you give us an update for this build after the patch 1.1?

Could we please get an update to this after yesterday's patch/ nerfs for leveling in season 1. Wudijos build, uses upheaval which i am not a fan of. And with the nerf to the quake on the HOTA aspect, would this still be viable and fun with a different core spender that is not upheaval, whirlwind, or rend. Maybe double swing? Or HOTA still?

How affect season 1 to this build?

I was a shout WW barb, and I changed to this before I hit lvl 50. I am not going back.

i have my own version of HOTA barb build going on , def way different from this one , but this is pretty cool glass cannon version i seen .

Anyone tried comparing this build to icy veins shout HoTA build?

i go with the stomp and stack my str over 1k.. hits diffrent

this build is really fun and i actually enjoyed it but sadly i went back into shout ww just because higher NM dungeons require you to need more CC control and defense but my time with this build was really enjoyable definitely since i had the overkill unique which basically gave me infinte death blow and bersking. would reconmend up to lvl 84 at least

this build works? or always need to change to 3 shouts build later?

No fury at all... and it doesn't work... i have burned golds and materials for this and i have completly frustrated myself

I have had considerable success with iron grasp instead of stomp. It keeps your berserk up and applies vulnerable. Plus 100000 steps is a free stomp if you rotate your skills well

can we fit overkill in there for the 2h mace? so overkill, butcher's and 100,000 steps at the same time?

anyone know which part of the build allows him to permanently crit with HotA? i tried to make it work but doing a lot of non critical hits

This is what I like to see, I dont like that so many Barb builds need 3-4 shouts or defensives to work. I think Blizz needs to change that

How do I aim hammer of the ancients? whenever i use it it just slaps the enemy, I want to use it to the side of the enemy and aim the quake, thank you.

What arsenal weapon should we be using for Death Blow and Lunging Strike?

So the two handed axe expertise says when using a two handed axe, increase damage to vulnerable enemies. But your guide shows it as when using any weapon. Did they change this?

This is the most fun Barb build. I’ve tried about 6 variations. This one just always feels like you’re on the razors edge. It takes a lot of skill and intention to not die. Very fun and strong. Massive glass cannon.

What expertise is ideal for this build?

Rogue main here - this build looks like the most fun I could possibly have outside of the rogue, BY FAR! Now, to decide when... still have Penetrating Shot, Flurry, Rapid Fire and Barrage rogues to make.

What are those 3 bubbles above the exp bar?

I have a silly question : How do I know which weapon to use for which skills? The arsenal system kind of confuses me!
