The closest video game analogy to Vault 75 would be Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, or at least comes as close as possible to the experiment done there.

I believe the child you save in Africa, Eli, who took the Sahlanthropus (misspelled likely) with some of the other child soldiers rose up and fought snake or one of his clones in a later game in the timeline of MGS is similar to what happened in Vault 75, one of the children bred for war in the vault caught on to what was going on and led an uprising against the Vault tec scientists and security and eventually became the Gunners.

At least as far as the uprising goes.

I really don't believe Vault-Tec really expected the bombs may fall. Let me clarify, while the idea & funding came from the fear of self-inflicted armageddon, by the time it filtered down to the execs of Vault-Tec it was seen as a long-term operation allowing for capital gain. A further clarification here when I say Capital gain compared to personal gain.
"Capital" in this sense means literally money, a commodity suddenly made absolutely worthless the moment the alarms sounded. You can tell in the left over records that none of the staff actually expected the bombs would fall, only it was the "great menace" that the rest of life had to flow around. So what do I think happened?
The vaults are constructed, not at the same time but as political budget and manpower issues will allow. As this is seen as a long term operation this is not so much a concern, allowing additional screening of the test subjects. After the group is selected, an alarm can be given to the members and staff citing 'privileged information' and seal everyone inside. After a week or two people will start to laugh at the individuals who locked themselves away early and continue on with their lives, not giving them a second thought. Meanwhile the experiments can take place and, once complete, the vault can then be recycled with appropriate spin/misdirection if anyone comes asking about individuals years later.
You ask anyone to build a bomb shelter for you and one of the first conditions you will face is that the person be able to join you if the worst did happen. But that is absent in most cases here, few if any of the outside staff had any interest of spending any time in the vaults. Staff that actually thought the vaults were a project to safely house people were ridiculed in their own ranks. The staff in general were looking forward to a long term of experimentation under the guise of the War Effort and in doing so build personal wealth. You don't do that when you know those dollars are going to die.

Two things: first, Vault-Tec based it's entire experimental model off the idea that, as Sabaton stated in their song We Burn : "Genocide? Who will drag me to court? There's no crime if ya do not get caught"
Second: am I the only one here who loves the character conversion animation style creepy and awesome? Uncanny valley with a side of retro

Vault-tec were trying to see the psychology of long term space travel (possibly to Antares),
but underestimated the effects of the Great War (they thought the rads would dissipate in 90 days to a year)

Am I the only one who thinks this doesn’t make any sense? If they had started the experiments BEFORE the war, fine. But experimenting on the last remnants of humanity? For whom? They’re almost all being tested on 🤪 Wouldn’t they want to use the vaults to build weapons to retaliate or something?

I just don't understand how America was the only one to have nuclear fusion energy and yet China still had nukes? Low oil or not you'd think captured American tech would have been reversed engineered and implemented to there own technology for a fuel source. War may have still ended in fire but then it would make sense more advances in technology can mean new ways of destroying your enemies. I still want a fallout in China lol
