The 65 inch LG OLED evo G4 - Best TV of 2024?

Hey Chaps! What TV do you have right now??

Very awesome. Later this summer were upgrading the living room tv to oled and we have 2 brands to choose Samsung and LG and were leaning towards LG because of the gaming features for when I have to stay home and watch the dogs during a weekend. :)

This channel is pure ads nowadays. Even the non-sponsored videos are superficial and non-critical. But hey people are subscribing I guess.

I would definitely get this for myself and add the Apple TV box to it🫢

I have to laugh. There is no way that this Lg G4 woled is better than a qd oled. Never. It's definitely not the best tv of 2024.

The G4 is the bomb, I am rocking the BX and the CX - can't complain really they are still great OLEDS! please send any G4's you don't need asap.... thanks Tom

We got a new 55” g4 because they dropped the price $300 and it has a great adjustable stand, which the g3 lacks. No regrets. 👍🤪🏳️‍🌈

Pure misleading information, which is why you should not take buying advice from sponsored videos. He used vivid mode because in regular modes, you don't see a brightness difference. buy the G3 is 1,000 cheaper, don't get tricked.

still using my 55" LG CX, how much has the tech advanced since then (mine is about 3 years old I believe)? Or would this not be a massive improvement

Just picked up the 65" C3 for £1,199 with 5 year warranty ... Couldn't justify 65" G4 as I already have 2 x LG C9 55" and also using a LG C3 42" as my main monitor.

Do you use tone mapping for gaming?

This tv is waaaay to high, you have to look up all the time. Your viewing spot while sitting watching straight forward should be the bottom line of the upper third.
In this case u look at the bottom line, this will freakin hurt everybodys neck

G4 seems to be the best tv this year and unbeatable in the 83” & 97” size as there is no competition.

I've had 2 LG OLED TV's and after a couple months they both started getting dead pixels. A few months later and one has 2 completely dead lines that go all the way across the screen and the other has over a dozen randomly spaced dead pixels. The processor and UI and software etc mean nothing when the screen build is crap. Total garbage

Thanks for reminding me that the LG dealership in my country only brings the C series not the B not the G only C. I'm stuck with my C9 for the foreseeable future. The C9 is still great but a man has needs.

Calm your nips boys. Digital foundry guys use this TV too. That speaks for itself.

There is no way that this is the best tv ever. Nor that this tv is this years best. The LG G4 is inferior to a qd oled. No matter what they put into this tv.

Was kinda hoping LG would evolve their 2024 OLED TVs to 240hz considering their monitors got that upgrade. No such luck. I'll stick with my C2 for another year

i own the GX 65" since October 2020 and I see no reason to replace it. Saying that, my next TV will definitely be another G series at 77". The way they sit on the wall just makes them look better than any other TV out there. I still remember seeing it for the first time in John Lewis and deciding that will be my next TV.

Anyone else has issues with DTS:X when connecting to an LG Soundbar?

I have the 77' C4 + LG S95QR which both advertising to be compatible with DTS:X over DTS-HD MA over EARC which it doesn't. Wow orchestra works fine with Dolby Atmos but not DTS:X :(

It does work if you connect your external devices (in my case NVIDIA Shield) directly to the soundbar but than you will lose the WOW orchestra option.

Very disappointing.
