Excellent video, thanks for sharing. Cheers
ОтветитьThis was awesome I will get mine up and running today gas in hands
ОтветитьHello I have this unit in my garage just setting up great timing Thank you Sir.
ОтветитьActually, the conversion of pressure is right there on your gauge. The inner ring in P.S.I.
ОтветитьPut a clamp meter on it and see if its giving true numbers at min mid and max ranges.
ОтветитьI'm surprised canada will let you use that many amps
ОтветитьI don't think you should be doing welder reviews if you dont know what the information on the screen means 😅
Ответить"Hi" 😂
We're all just little kids at heart
Hell of a bargain. Amazon sells this with a $200 off coupon. $500 delivered. Buying a dedicated machine for each capability would be far far more costly. I bought used a dedicated 1) Century stick welder 2) A 120V Flux Core welder and 3) A Bestarc 50Amp plasma cutter and I'm right at the $500. Three machines, taking up lots of space, without all the capabilities of this single machine. Fuuuuuuudddddgeee.
ОтветитьGreat video! Sounds like a great option for someone just starting out that hasn’t invested in other equipment previously. Plus, hopefully it’s reliable and would be problem free for several years. Thanks for the demonstration!
ОтветитьThis is a DC ONLY Welder ! They should have Added AC TIG Option to Weld Alum - Then this would be a GREAT WELDER !
ОтветитьHi ! Good day Yes Don that does like a good machine. Thanks
ОтветитьHow many PSI on your compressor for plasma cutting ??
ОтветитьThank you for demonstrate your welder I got one a while ago from Harbor Freight thank you for the video
ОтветитьIt all looks very nice when new but what kind of after sales service comes with this unit? You of all people know how much that means.
What happens when the magic smoke comes out of a circuit board after two years of very light occasional use?
Can it be fixed or do we end up with a very expensive door stop?
Most parts are not available for it. Made in China.
ОтветитьA+ ,VERY USEFULL!
ОтветитьGreat review. I am sure this machine will appeal to quite a few. I am always leary of multifunctional machines. I always flashback to yard/garage sales when I was a kid. It seemed like every one had a TV, radio, record player console. With one or more functions not working. Also if this machine has to go in for repairs. You lose the ability, to do anything.
Ответитьit'll weld everything but the crack of dawn ! lol . nice machine .
ОтветитьWhat?? No oxy set up?😂
ОтветитьThank you for your video of Upgraded SD-4050 Pro.
ОтветитьIs this a ac/dc welder? I just bought the previous 4050 pro but I don’t think it’s ac
ОтветитьThe first time I ever saw a plasma cutter used was back in the 1990's. They are still amazing to watch.
ОтветитьPlus, I forgot to mention I have a Lincoln plasma cutter as well. That’s an awesome machine. It’s 220.👍
ОтветитьPretty cool welder I have a Lincoln 220 welder plus I have a stick welder and they work pretty good. No complaints but great video.👍
ОтветитьHave two unit lots plasma and lincoln 375 with on board air and 100.00 one on last leg for scrapper cutting
ОтветитьCan this tig weld aluminum?
ОтветитьLooks like it will do it all! I bought a plasma cutter from YES and a stick welder from Arc Captain which I'm waiting my electrician to run 220. I have 3 other lines but not sure if any mice have compromised them since they weren't run in conduit, which i would prefer. I haven't stick welded since I was a sophomore in high school and now 71 years old. Lol !
ОтветитьLooks like a very nice combo machine and the price is great for everything you get, but it's more than I can spend. I'm sure you'll be using yours for years, hopefully decades, to come. I hope it last to become a great hand-me-down to your kids when you get older.
ОтветитьI like this new part (review) of the channel. Expanding my knowlege
Ответитьthank you sir how do you change the wire speed my mig feeds 350 in at 100 amp
ОтветитьWow, looks like a great machine
ОтветитьKeep the heat up and move fast
ОтветитьWhere's the cigarette lighter?
ОтветитьGreat review Don, thank you. I have a multi-process welder (MIG, stick, lift-TIG) and a separate plasma cutting machine (must be in contact with the metal to begin cutting). I have been toying with the idea of getting a better multi-process machine and this video convinced me to give this one a try, Just ordered it, delivery to my home in Portugal in a week. Package included spool gun (for MIG welding aluminum), foot pedal (for TIG), helmet, some consumables, a carrying pouch and all for just over €1000. I should be able to recover at least half of that by selling my two current machines so I feel that this is an affordable upgrade to what I have now.
Thanks for your review video and keep up the great content.
Love it....Thats a great lil machine !!!!
ОтветитьNice machine
Ответитьthe cutter alone is worth it on the machine...cuts better than most torches without all the bulky tanks and carts and hoses......that was quite the machine Don
ОтветитьThats a really great machine for the novice welder who doesnt weld for a living I would buy it in a heartbeat Im kinda partial to stick first then mig great video God bless
ОтветитьThis is great for shops with limited space. I'm sure we will see more and more machines like this. this is cool!
ОтветитьJust a few quick comments and observations that may help you as you gain experience. While there is no magic figure for shielding gas flow and volume, since each individual scenario has it own unique requirements. However for most general purpose mig and tig welding you can't be too far out using about 15-20 CFH of gas coverage. We do not want to waste gas but on critical welds you want to err on the side of caution. Sometimes less is ok, sometimes way more. You've got a good head on your shoulders, you'll figure it out soon enough.
Also not sure if this machine allows manual override of the parameters but it's always best to stay close to the recommended 1AMP/.001 metal thickness rule, this applies to all of the processes of fusion welding.
Another good habit to get into is to always weld clean shiny metal whenever possible. The welds will be of much better quality when rust, paint, and mill scale is not included into the filler metal deposited. This is a very strict requirement of code welding practice for good reason. Plus your welds will have a much nicer appearance.
This last point of welding only clean shiny metal is an absolute must for the tig process.
Have fun Donny learning some new skills, I'm sure that time of year of being busier than a one armed wallpaper hanger is just around the corner.
You did not show the tig. Is the tig have AC
ОтветитьExcellent review Dony. This seems like a very nice all in one machine. This would easily accommodate all my welding and cutting needs as a diy'er for a very reasonable price.
ОтветитьGreat review. Think would take awhile to use it to it's full capacity. Could be frustrating if other people are messing around with the settings all the time. Great duty cycle for what it is. Thanks Donny.
Ответитьgreat vid as usual Don, 👌i assume the price in link $USD?
ОтветитьWhy not award that wellder to one of your subscribers ?? Of course shipping costs would be paid by the grateful subscriber. Just a suggestion. 😊
ОтветитьNice!!
ОтветитьSweet little unit 👍
