The Federal Government of Somalia must hold absolute authority to unify and strengthen the nation. A system with multiple presidents governing fragmented regions breeds inefficiency and division. To ensure stability, all military forces should be centrally controlled by the Federal Government, while regional administrations are limited to managing local police forces for security.

This approach would eliminate unnecessary power struggles and streamline governance, enabling the Federal Government to oversee the country without interference. Regional leaders should be governors, overseeing their respective areas but always subordinate to federal authority. Globally, no functional federal system operates like Somalia’s current model, which is dictated by outdated tribal dynamics and fragmented leadership.

For Somalia to progress, regional administrations must evolve into cooperative entities focused on democratic governance and national development. Clear boundaries must be enforced to prevent any overreach by regional leaders, ensuring that the Federal Government remains the ultimate authority. The youth of Somalia stand united in supporting this vision of a stronger, more cohesive nation.

For the Somali government, Mahmud Sheik, Ethiopia was and is a scapegoat. It is clear that citizens in Jubaland and Somaliland understand the political game. Ethiopia is and has been a good neighbor.
