This is just rewritten history. Normans never were intended as a people in fact Guillaume is called Dux Francorum on the Bayeux tapestry and on the Historia Anglorum. Guillame was a French duke, who spoke french, whose one of his 5 generations removed great grand dad was from Norway in fact 1/32 of his blood could have been called "viking" (being the term wrongly used to identify people coming from Norway, Denmark or Sweden). The Norsmen (very few) were given by the Frank king that lands to protect them from other norsmen. They imediatly married into prexisting nobility forgetting their language pretty fast. Furthermore, every English king up until the end of the Plantagent line was first and foremost a Frenchmen...ENGLISHMEN, you got conquered and ruled by french for nearly 500 years...

The line of descent from William the Conqueror or his close relatives involved in the ancestry of almost all of the subsequent English/British monarchs?
"Vikings" or "Northmen" largely of Norwegian or Danish ancestry but had trade connections as far away as Syria and evidence that there were a few people of Middle Eastern origin among the Viking settlers and raiders? The technology of the best swords that some of the wealthier Viking raiders carried was Middle East based? "Ulfberht"

The curse of the English "British" bragging about how rich they are and attract the Normans,1000 years later bragging about British being a rich country and "world leader" and again attracts the dinghy people!!😀

History repeated itself with the native Americans, when the ability to fight on horseback allowed the Comanche to dominate the landscape against other tribes who dismounted their horses to fight on foot, in battle…according to “Empire of the Summer Moon”

It's amusing watching these re-enactments of old time real men warriors such as these Vikings depicted here, and Normans, etc. You see the young guys of today dressed up, with their swords and acting out the fighting and such....but you see modern sensitive no offense but de-fanged modern western world male facial expressions and even body movement....a sort of modern male re-enactment that comes off to older eyes as bleh, they aren't convincing at all.

I'm not saying my generation lived so much more like those old school peoples, i'm not super tough either....but when i was that age myself and any other dudes (and i grew up sensitive, far left family, culturally full of male (and white) guilt, so similar to these guys...but still,) in our day and i'm middle aged now...but in those days how men and young men especially moved, how much more just naturally physical we were (from growing up playing outside WAY more, being free of parents and taking way more risks, laughing learning and not always thinking "am i staying away from the things they're telling me i can't think or say or do due to being male here", less helicopter parenting, less fear of being out alone, fewer gadgets by far, actually being in our heads and feeling that, our loneliness and having to learn and live that unlike moderns today who have always just been able to escape the silence and real connection to the universe instead put their attention on something often electronic and simply be less physical, more in their heads.)

It's just amusing. They are good guys i'm sure, not blaming them for living in the times they were born into and will defend as theirs and they mean well...and being caring souls wanting to be in this re-enactment, they're probably great guys, many of them athletes and studs...etc....i'm just saying there is a noticeable difference in countenance, facial expression, movement, how men have today in the western world that......passive almost over thinking look, making sure they're saying and representing the proper virtue signal and just so much (again, not blaming them) so they don't move and talk and think and feel as free and easy as any human should...so are they today born into a western world culture-wide virtue signal and conscious attempt to change men (or else.)

Again, much of it did well, means well still....but turns out isn't all based in truths about men and women, and much of it is taking out our perception of humans needing men to change so much when that's when looked at truly...not so clear it's based in reality (the blank slate as we used to assume...isn't what we assumed and turns out men and women are significantly different and not just in body, different, not better in mind, just different and that matters and modern western world people ignore that as we continue to purposefully lift one sex, often messing wrongly deeply wrongly with the other in that cause, and often not connected to things we've learned (but are kept from us due to this deep habit of virtue signalling for western women, the women in all of history living with the most evolved for them men, in the most evolved for them political systems in history.)

I digress...yes, laugh, deny, say loosen up, what happened to this guy.....say and think and do everything but look deeper into the modern madness that is how we assume things about men, then women, and the one sided nature we've just accepted when it's not at all true as we frame it now.

And part of how true this has become is how deeply you better not say anything like what i am, "or else" the modern left, modern feminism, just the average person now will get on you, just for suggesting these fellow humans can gasp, be critiqued too, as men are consistently and constantly, at this point absurdly and just obviously. But it's so much more than just people, it's the people running schools, work, most of the infrastructure....lifted on purpose, never disagreed with in ways they don't feel comfy about and we're all told this is good STILL.

At what point moderns? At what point all you truly caring, smart, aware modern western world women who do see at least some of what i'm talking about (but maybe you feel "ah, who cares, it's a bit of BS to modern men but hey, all of history and all, right?" Something like that? Hey, i know there are brilliant moderns, brilliant well meaning women who recognize fellow human citizens in their time on earth get a BS double standard often that feeds yourself. it's time to more seriously talk to your sisters, point out it's getting pretty one sided and orwellian up in here.

Thanks.

Good documentary, but how I long for appropriate actors. 5'10" pudgy and dark haired is not how the vikings struck terror in the hearts of their victims.
