The Windows Update (KB5022287) not only removed the hourglass icon and replaced it with the unsightly "Search" text in my taskbar. This update also removed all my colored folder icons I had painstakingly added to cover the ugly yellow Microsoft folders. And no matter how many times I tried to re-add the color-coded icons, the yellow folders could not be changed. After tracking down the culprit update, I uninstalled it and immediately got back the hourglass icon in my taskbar and my colored folders. In the name of "security" & "fixes:" Microsoft is making changes to the OS without informing us. If you want to uninstall this update, go to Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed Updates (top left side of page). I wasn't having an issue before the update and I'm not having an issue after uninstalling it.

What's the point? Windows button has this EXACT same function....

For me the start menu weather and search should be left. Apps/programs in centre and the usual on right .. Until then I'll stick with Windows 10 and taskbar X to do this (which still doesn't seem to work in Windows 11)

Strange design choice, i think it fits better if the search bar is on the side of the weather icon.

in windows 10, its there for free and u dont need any configuration. Cheers. I migrated from 11 back to 10 4times and i won't be going back to 11 anytime soon coz its full of bugs n errors.
