This is a great video!
ОтветитьVery Well Done......thank you so much. I love that hair by the way.
ОтветитьSo in about the next 2 or 3 years mirrorless cameras will replace DSLR cameras and be much better?
Ответитьthe FrO KnOws pHoToooo.... never gets old 🤣🤣
ОтветитьExcellent video. Lots of information from Jared. Thank you...
ОтветитьThe service shutter is a pretty fragile mechanism. A secondary, more robust shutter specifically designed for protecting the internals would be preferable, and should be possible.
Ответитьsoo which is better for recording action?
ОтветитьI like his Afro.
Ответитьmy 80-200mm FDL lens is stuck on f4 can you suggest a way I can unstick it
ОтветитьI would only buy a mirrorless camera because it is supposed to have better image quality than a DSLR.
Ответитьoverload
ОтветитьLooking to have photography as more than a hobby, also drone photography. I have an old canon digital rebel. I am looking to get a professional camera in the 1500 range, which canon or nikon would you recommend. Dslr or mirroless as well, thanks! Great entertaining videos
ОтветитьMirrorless is the future, no fighting it
ОтветитьTons of helpful info, thank you!
Ответитьoutstanding video!
Ответитьthe intro scared me so much, my laptop was on full volume
ОтветитьJared I think we need a new dslr vs mirrorless. DSLR may be going extinct
ОтветитьYou shoot RAW
I smoke joint with RAW
Thanks for the great video but as someone who used to "Protect the Frame" in film and television (set continuity, rogue items like water bottles, coffee cups, BG that shouldn't be in the shot, vapid walls-subject to DoP styles, objects growing out of actors heads, and misc. hotspots such as reflections, unscripted object imperfections , etc.) I couldn't help noticing all the white specs and dust on your cameras, mirrors, and sensors. HD is a B_tch! :P
Ответитьa HUGE factor and difference you did not mention, having to pay $300-$400 each time the DSLR shutter goes out, which is only a matter of time especially if you take photos on daily basis.
ОтветитьThis is why I love my Nikon D780. Best of both worlds.
ОтветитьHi there! What camera do you recommend for a beginner (primarily for CrossFit videos and photos, portraits :). )
Ответитьexactly what i was looking for
ОтветитьAnd you have instant feedback when using a mirrorless camera if you change ISO, Shutter speed etc. On a DSLR you have to master those settings.
ОтветитьThe shutter just died again, this last weekend (Err 20) on my Cannon 5D mkII . Is it time to go get it fixed? buy a used 5D mkiV? buy a new R (with adapter). I'm just an amateur, I don't do video.
ОтветитьDSLOR
ОтветитьThis is such a comprehensive and very well constructed video. Really kudos to you for giving so much effort. Every topic, detail and issue is covered. Thanks a lot for making such a video. Hope you gain more followers! All the best. You sir have gained a follower.
ОтветитьThe best camera is the one you use.!
Ответитьsomeone is aiming at him clearly
ОтветитьExtremely helpful video
ОтветитьThat is quite a wig.
ОтветитьHere is a new comment for an "old" video.
Mirror less cameras seem to be the way things are headed. But there are still some better features in the mirrored cameras.
Let’s jump back even further, are there any better features in the SLR cameras?
I’ve heard you poo poo on the 35 mm people before but are there any benefits to the SLR cameras?
Thanking you in advance Mr. FRO !

Yeah yeah, i am pro photographer, so i need burst of 30 pictures to take good photo. Old days you had film and you couldn't see result until printed. Thats pro photography, not the TRRRRRRRR photos where you have 30 chances per second to compensate for total lack of skill. I am not pro photographer, but as long as i pick right lens and something like Z9, i can definitely pull off one or 2 good pictures of a 1000. That is a pure luck, not a skill. Like oh my god, AF not fast enough... duh how did people take photos before? Soon you'll get fully automatic AI camera. That you don't even need to push a button to take photo. Then why need you? PRO camera carrier and placer?
ОтветитьLoved his goofiness and he knowledge he have
ОтветитьLots of great information as I am looking to make the switch in 2023, thank you!
ОтветитьAs a brand new photographer who wants to study landscape and nature.... And eventually do photo manipulation..what would you suggest ? My intuition is saying mirrorless. .. if you agree, would you go Sony or Canon?
ОтветитьI'm about to go through my 5th camera in little over 20 years, last 2 being DSLRs. Now I like to move up to a full frame mirrorless camera. The information in this video was fantastic but just saw it now in Jan of 2023. I'm sure things on both DSLRs and mirrorless have changed. If money wasn't a factor I have one or each with a selection of lenses. I reality even my tried and true lenses are pretty much shot. In the past I volunteered my skills to shoot live on scene at fires with my local fire departments, sometimes including inside buildings while involved with hose crews with me. Mirrorless sure wouldn't be my choice then. Now I no longer do that but insists on having a rugged and reliable camera to shoot in all weather and light conditions. Now I don't know what I will eventually buy. Well thanks for the video. It was still very informative
Ответитьlove this guy, subscribed :D
Ответитьi like to compare the dslr cameras to xbox controllers vs early mirrorless dslr being like a playstation 3 controller lol, at least that was the back then. I'm totally in need of updating and gathering what information I can with new models and revisiting the pros n cons of the two. Thanks Jared
ОтветитьA question... the Dslr with live view is not the same as the mirrorless cameras.. ?? for me is the same... please comment..
ОтветитьSupper
Ответитьthe main thing I dont like about mirrorless is the evf, especially when manual focusing in really dark settings
ОтветитьThat thing about shutter dropping with camera off / lens off, man, so easy to fix, yet we still don't see it today (at least my Canon R10 doesn't have that).
ОтветитьSadeek khan from guyana
ОтветитьSo basically what we're seeing is the arrival of semi and pro grade mirrorless?
ОтветитьTime for another update 😅
ОтветитьVery well done JP. I saw an immediate advantage when the industry changed from film to digital because now I was in charge of post-production instead of the lab and I could see that I had a correct exposure immediately after releasing the shutter, but so far I see no advantage for me in mirrorless. Just another way to create a digital image that requires a complete gear overhaul and 1000's of $$$ which I'm sure the camera companies love!
