Too bad Genshin doesnt put the effort to animate dialogued cutscenes. I mean this felt way more tense compared to reading the equivalent of a damn visual novel

This world quest had the best fucking lineup out of any of them. THE Itto. THE Yelan. THE fucking Shinobu. THE Yanfei. It was so good. Fucking love these characters.

Genuinely astounded by the people in the comment section here. Itto is being unnecessarily combative. Yelan is cold and condescending. These are just aspects of their characters 💀 god forbid characters have flaws or something. I’ll, even go one step further to say that Itto has good intentions, but he’s also not listening to Yanfei, the person he’s trying to protect. He’s claiming to care about her, but he’s not respecting her wishes or her words. Yelan on the other hand, is being overly cold and dismissive, but she’s also deeply involved with a line of work where almost every person she meets, is a liar. It doesn’t matter how close Itto is with traveler or Yanfei, Yelan knows how easy it is to trick people. It’s definitely happened to her before, and we all know she sure as hell does it all the time. Yelan, while not valid in being so rude, is valid on telling Itto get the hell out of the chasm, because it *is* dangerous, and he’s (obviously, by how he acts) the quickest of them to get violent, and do something he shouldn’t. Itto is right that it’s not his or Shinobu’s fault for not knowing that the chasm is restricted, and he’s right to be upset to hear that Yanfei is in such a dangerous place, however, Yelan also shouldn’t have to put up warning signs or anything of that nature around the chasm 💀Shinobu and Itto are a special case because they both just went in there without thinking, but most normal people wouldn’t go there without the due paperwork. Law abiding citizens and adventures would either already know the deal with the chasm, or they’d go through the adventurers guild first, to attain information. The only people that show up in the chasm unannounced, are criminals 💀 like I’m being so serious. Yelan is not being a bitch for telling them to leave. She is not acting ‘high and mighty’ she is literally doing her job. Itto is not being ‘annoying’ here either. He cares about Yanfei’s wellbeing overall, and Yelan should know better than to take a tone like that when trying to get people to listen. So soo insane. The nuance here is actually so plainly spelled out, it’s so insane to me that people think one or the other is justified for being an overall asshole.
