I just played the first gears of war again and I gotta say it felt refreshing playing a game that is that old and still feels better than most new games. Back when the devs cared more about the gamers, and had an incredible story.

This is still my favorite console exclusive for the Xbox ... but you're right they need to step up their game for the future. Playstation still my go to and unmatched in my eyes in the realms of exclusives - Last of Us ... Uncharted ... God of War ... Horizon Zero Dawn ... Ghost of Tsushima ... Days Gone ... etc.

17 years ago, I first bought a xbox 360 and gears of war at RIT college. I stayed on the campus during the Thanksgivings and played gears of war for 1 week with almost no sleep. It was a hell lot of fun! I'm 40 years old.

This was my childhood favorite game..wish it was on Playstation

20/10 man play the whole series

This video hit the feels more than I expected man. My favorite gaming experience of all time. We'll never be able to recreate than era.

I still don’t understand why they just don’t make a gears of war pendulum wars game? There’s like 90 years of material and lore in that alone that could make a whole new franchise. Idk why they brought the locusts as swarm lol

Also you are missing the dog tags under the gears logo

My favorite was always gears 2 but the first 3 were amazing with a dope nice story

Great! I remember having a hard time killing those locusts, in the original game they are hard kill!

My dad got this game the day it came out. And instantly got me introduced to it when I could understand what “gaming” was. I’m happy to say this was the game that got me into gaming.

I love gears of wars. Horde mode is something i still love to play every now and then

Played gears recently on the gamepass and it’s fun, you know what your getting and it’s a no thrill pure shooter. Got to say atm gears 5 feels great with all the tweaks to gameplay and guns etc
