Can I keep the old account on old computer
Ответитьwhy not just copy the "Music" folder? why copy all the other folders ?
Ответитьwhy is it not working for me??
ОтветитьDoes this work with Windows?
ОтветитьThanks for the video, but unfortunately this doens't work if your music is on a NAS. Just tried it and it copied all the files from the NAS to my itunes folder. On the new computer it wont look at the NAS anymore. I've to reconnect all the songs again to the NAS.
ОтветитьWhat lead? You pulled it out of the box but i didnt see what it was!!
Ответитьwe dont care about your crappy new computer
Ответитьthat's pretty kool but what kind of cable you used. also be alittle more specific
ОтветитьI will have to try this. Hopefully it turns out to be that easy. :)
EDIT: Nope. Didn't work for me. :(
ОтветитьHi. I have a challenge for you. I´m transfering my music from my Macbook Pro Music App (macOS Catalina) to my old Macbook iTunes (macOS Sierra). Metadata file in Catalina is ".musiclibrary " and in Sierra is " .itl ". How can you help me? Thanks!
ОтветитьMany many many hours later!
This works
Consolidate drive on old itunes on old comp (under
Library edit-)
------under edit libaray again – click export library
File (remember where you keep this-I kept it in itunes folder and dated it)
Copy itunes (including music!) from drive –from your
Old comp
*note it may work just cutting and pasting music
Files-but I copied the whole folder.
Paste on drive in new comp
Install itunes on new comp drive
Drag whole itunes folder (including music files) into
Itunes
Go to import playlist on itunes—click on your saved
File…
what if i dont have my old computer where everything was backed up on?
ОтветитьYou’ve talk too much shit which make it difficult to follow
ОтветитьUseful but I didn't really need to sit through you opening a box
ОтветитьThank you my friend. Trying it now with my MacBook Pro OS X El Capitan version 10.22.6 to MacBook Pro 16 inch macOS Catalina 10.15.6
Ответитьobsolete as of catalina os
ОтветитьI successfully moved all songs from PC#1 to a new PC#2. But...My playlists have disappeared in PC#2. How can I organize them AUTOMATICALLY to match my old PC#1?
Ответитьdoesnt work for me... i use catalina. is it because of that??
ОтветитьDoes not work with Catalina. Can anyone assist?
ОтветитьFuncionooooo. Gracias!!
ОтветитьThanks very much for this. Very useful. When we purchased our new computer, only the purchased music moved over, but we managed to transfer the other music by following this.
ОтветитьTHANK YOU! ** The key to the successful transfer/upload to your new Mac is deleting/replacing the (empty) iTunes folder on your new machine (otherwise it interferes with the 'read' so you don't see your full library in your new iTunes).** I used an external hard drive to drag and drop the folder across rather than a cable.
ОтветитьNot with Catalina :(
Ответитьso I did it this way but Serato keeps saying they can't find the music files every time I try to load a song but it says my iTunes library was imported any idea what may be going on
ОтветитьGuys I have all my music in my old iPhone and purchased a new one, but just formatted my PC and no backup there. How can I transfer all that music from my old iPhone to my new iTunes so I can add all the music to my new iPhone?
Ответитьthis dosent work for me. keep trying . but noting :(
ОтветитьWhat if you do no have space in the laptop but have all the mp3s in a external drive?
Thanks
How is the new MacBook working out for you after the transfer? Which DJ software are you using?
ОтветитьNot sure if you would know this, but here goes... I have two Macs: an old MacPro tower (5,1) and a MacMini. I want to move my library for the tower to the MacMini to use a dedicated music server. Problem is, the MacPro is on High Sierra (iTunes 12.8), but the Mini is on Catalina (with the new Music app)... Will the process you describe still work the same way? I have a TB of media to move so I want to make sure before proceeding). Cheers!
ОтветитьCan i copy and paste all my itunes folder to a ext hard drive? i want to save hdd space on my mbp?
