I had a blue 89 with T-tops. Fucking best car ever. I delivered pizzas in it. Little did I know how fucking cool I was at the time.
Ответитьits truly carry how so little ford probes you will see
ОтветитьGot mine for free 2 of them anyway 25k miles on one any 45k on the other.
ОтветитьThe t-top 88' MR2 is the cutest car I had ever owned.
ОтветитьI always loved the look of the AW11. As a young teen, I delivered newspapers (dating myself here), and one of the houses on my route had an AW11 rotting away in the driveway. I wondered what it would've taken to fix it.
Funnily enough, my sister's coworker flew from Seattle to Florida to pick up a clapped-out AW11 that he bought sight-unseen (except photos) and drive it back to Seattle. It was supposed to take a week, but he's on week 3, since the thing keeps crapping out, and the roof leaks. If I'd known this person before he did this, I'd have dissuaded him, given Justin Burnash's assertion on the Podcast that you can't find parts for those anywhere.
Sometimes what RCG says hits me right in the feels. This channel is about people more than cars. Some might not understand that but it's true. Cars are like music or smells, they connect us to our past present and dreams of the future. Anyway, you guys do great work. Keep it up
ОтветитьThank you for sharing a formative piece of your childhood with us.
Ответитьso dang cool
ОтветитьLove this car
ОтветитьMy dream car is a 1976 Toyota Celica. The mk1 mr2 is definitely a close second tho! Wish I can get my hands on one. Right now I drive a 1981 Toyota Celica which I totally adore and it holds a sentimental place in my heart
ОтветитьI so badly want to put a turbo D16z into one of these.
ОтветитьThe intro to this is literally how life went for me as a child lol
ОтветитьI just got an '89 S/C on BAT. Why do people gush about a dream car and then sell it? I've got 6 cars I can drive (no you may not ask how much I pay in insurance) and two projects in the shop...I can't sell a-one of them.
ОтветитьThat monologue from your 1st grade POV made me cry goddamnit. I need one
Ответить"I am definitely not going to try to drift it" I can't comprehend why
ОтветитьJesus, how common are those stickers? My car has those lines!
ОтветитьPop up headlights cure depression
ОтветитьThis car feels like a physical representation of synth music
ОтветитьYour babies are, your babies. Mine is a 1981 280z.
ОтветитьI did own one 1988 like this one, white but different wheels and it had a T top. That was such a fun car. I should never have sold it!
ОтветитьThe interior looks brand new.
ОтветитьThat's beautiful. Do you still have it?
ОтветитьI HAD A RED ONE (WHICH LOOKED MORE AND MORE PINK AS TIME WENT BY) AND I LOVED IT. I HAVE NO IDEA IF IT WAS AN AW11 OR WHAT IT WAS TO TELL YOU THE TRUTH. I JUST KNOW THAT I LOVED IT AND I HAD TO GET RID OF IT BECAUSE I COULDN'T FIND PARTS AND PIECES FOR IT I HAD A CRACKED WINDSHIELD AND LOOKED FOR MONTHS FOR A WINDSHIELD AND THIS IS BEFORE THE INTERNET MIND YOU.... 💙💙💙
ОтветитьI wish you could've kept the car, man. You're so lucky to own something this nice, i would've kept it as long as im alive if it was me who had it.
ОтветитьWhat a gem😍 When I had my '89 MK1B with T-Tops, though it wasn't as nice as yours, my 29 year-old boss at the time kept borrowing my keys to just get in there and mesmerize 😁
ОтветитьI CANT FIND ONE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEREEEEER
ОтветитьWould you settle for a fierro? A fiaro? Idk. You know what I mean.
ОтветитьYou should buy one again BUT, one that's in almost bad cosmetic condition, that way you'll enjoy it without any guilt
Ответитьjust put a down payment on a mint 89 mr2...itll either be the best or worst choice ive ever made lol. only time will tell haha
ОтветитьThis was also the csr I'd always dreamed of back in the late 80s. The supercharged version in white as well. But even now, I never got the chance to drive or own one. Maybe someday....
ОтветитьThis Toyota MR-2 is to You what the Honda Prelude is to Me!❤️🎯
ОтветитьThat’s right , it’s the look that just can’t ignore when driving on a Mr2, on my Mr2 I can bet a civic , even newer then 86’ , but the feeling it’s just way different then front wheel drive.
Ответитьtbh it's a cute car, look at it. small and boxy and headlights go up down
ОтветитьHell yeah never sell it,you have your dream car. Now take care of it till the day you die!!!
ОтветитьGreatest car ever. I had two back in the 80’s.
Ответитьbest car i've ever owned.
Ответитьoh god Mr. Regular is 37 today
ОтветитьI see people asking $25k+ for these & clean SW20's these days with low mileage. I wonder what Mr. Regular paid for it
Ответитьi walk past an mr2 on my way to college and it has been sitting there for a while
ОтветитьThe real question is did you ever find a replacement center cap?
ОтветитьThis car is gone...now
Ответитьyoure driving me nuts, i love the look of this car but being 16 i know it will be years before i can get one, some day though

I don't know why, but these MR2's remind me of Johnny 5...
ОтветитьNo T-tops! Nice!
ОтветитьI have a beautiful 86 MR2. Feel him on the motor noise but I still love my car.
ОтветитьOh those times!! Love those cars. I had a 1988 Celica GT-S, and loved it!
