I followed the battery saver preset options down to every detail and the average FPS is 20 to 25 FPS at 6 watts. Has anyone else gotten a somewhat solid 30 FPS following the options presented? The only place I've gotten a solid 30FPS is in a shrine room and that's it

FWIW I can never decide which preset I prefer more, 40/40 or 30/30 and I go back and forth often. 30/30 at 8W & 1000 GPU Clock (11W in towns) and 900P with enhancements, LOOKS good, and is passable docked on my 1080p TV as well, but often I simply prefer 40/40 (10-11W, 1000hz) at 720p.
Definitely lock GPU clocks, it makes a big difference!

I'm emulating the game with cemu 2, it's what emudock installed by default and everything works prefectly except for the gyroscope, i do installed the emudock gyroscope utility, but still not working. Could you please tell us how to enable it? I can't find any recent video on how to do it. The emuhooks or whateverhooks was called didn't work for me, not sure if I've done things wrong, but I've seen people saying that for v2 it's not there anymore, and the download is for 1.27 or something like that

I tried running it using yuzu. I have this weird issue where in game mode, the link to the game results in a black screen, but if I start the game directly from yuzu it runs with no issues(both desktop and game mode).

Why am I clocked at 20fps? **edit: I have to triple the fps++ setting I want. and I still get close to 20fps, plus or minus a few frames when I got to the first little fight against a bokoblin. yuzu does better with cached shaders without fps++. could you do a more recent video just showing presets? would be much appreciated. maybe its just outdated shaders?

but one question though, is it normal to get frame drops in all the presets, even on the smooth one? I tried all of them but very rarely I get to the 30 or 40 cap, I followed all the instructions but can't seem to get the exact same results from the video, on the battery saver one I'm getting usually 24-26 fps and it's unstable

Thank you!. I’ve got it running on the OLED with on the Emudeck CEMU version at 45fps 90hz stable and it’s looking awesome. Used the prettiest settings with a couple tweaks. Also running Cryoutilites of course. I can get away with 30fps 90hz as well with a TDP set to 13 and have more than two hours of game time. 😮

If anyone’s wondering. To get rid of the shadow bug with 16x10, you have to set the resolution to 1440x900. It still keeps a solid 30fps

Cemu BOTW is running like ass for some reason so I'mma try the Switch version with Ryujinx, because that's been a much more consistent emulator on the Deck for me so far. I wasn't expecting Switch games to play better than a Wii U game tbh, I think even TOTK was getting more frames than BOTW Wii U

Any ideas why mine would crash at the same place every single time? I’ve tried downgrading from experimental to stable (1.27 I believe), but same result. Game played flawlessly until the crash.

It appears that the frame pacing is all over the place according to what appears to be the graph for it. Is that real time graph during gameplay for the frame time?

Hi, I love your videos! I just was confused about the battery saver preset. On the draw distance graphic pack, it says lowering it will not offer more performance, but in the preset, it includes lowering the draw distances. What’s going on here 😅

For anyone looking for a setting between the Smoothest and Prettiest presets in this video, I recommend you to follow the Smoothest preset but also enabling the Serfrost clarity enhancement mod. The game looks much better and mostly runs at 40FPS for me and lowers to 34FPS when there are more weather effects or intense combat.

Hi, I know I am quite late but I have a quick question. When I load into botw, everything works but it will randomly crash. I can’t see a pattern because it’s crashed I’m just exploring, fighting or am in shrines. Do you know any fixes to botw crashes?

I can;'t find the folder on my steam deck where to put the shadercache? I have no "CEMU" folder anywhere on my system

I just re-imaged my system and system toolbox isnt opening. Gives me an error.

Used this guide recently on the steam deck OLED and I’m playing 720p with extra ram and some distances increased and getting a locked 40 except in city areas where it drop to 30-35 with stutters. Using Linux version of emulation, this guide is great and helped me a lot.

Long shot on you replying to this, but ill try anyway. For some reason I don't have a shaderCache folder. Can I just make one in the Wii U folder? I am also using emudeck, but it didn't place that folder for some reason.
